I'm not sure what to decide. The price for the baby hedgies is fantastic, but I'm a bit wary of the fact that they also breed nine other species of animals. They also don't have a lot of information on their site about their animals care or socialization, so I'm not sure. Should I message them and ask, or delete this from my list?

I've been comparing every breeder I come across to another that I like a lot, should I continue doing so? Links to both breeders are below. =)

(Before anyone suggests this, I am unable to purchase a hedgie from the second website. They don't ship, and I'm not able to drive to the farm to pick up the hoglet.)

The one I'm not sure about-

The one I'm comparing everything else to-

If anyone has any other good breeders that are willing to ship they could suggest, I'd be very grateful. Thanks! =)

I actually have gotten a hedgehog from Gail Dick (the second website) and I will say she is a great breeder, everything was very clean, organized and all her animals were very friendly and healthy, and still are a year later. Where are you located? Have you checked http://www.hedgehogcentral.com/breeders.shtml ?
There is also a very large hedgehog rescue organization you should check out (hedgehog welfare.com, and they have a yahoo group) that might have an available hedgie in your area.
I would be very wary of the first site, and would want to see the animal in person if I was getting anything from there.

I would avoid any group or business that breeds multiple types of exotic animals. Reliable exotic breeders specialize in one type of animal only, so they can produce quality animals and give them great care. Also, if you are paying under $150 for a hedgehog, something is fishy.

I would recommend Hurricane Hedgehogs in Florida. They ship to legal states and have excellent quality babies.

I would avoid like the plague the one that sells Fennec Foxes and Kinkajous!!!!! Pretty sad that they sell these wild animals. These should not be kept as pets.
