I am a professional pet sitter. I'm just curious as to what other pet sitters charge for services- professional or not. I know that what I charge is pretty standard but sometimes I see amateurs charging a lot less than what the time and services are worth.

If you do pet sitting or dog walking, what are your rates?

My outdoor cat of 8 years disappeared yesterday. Not sure if runover, coyote got it or if someone took it. I am going to hope someone took it and wanted it for a pet. He was a good pet and a great mouser. Amazing he was able to survive so long out side. Even though at times I let him in the house especially during the winter months. Anybody out there lose a pet recently by death or run away? Is difficult no?

My bunny is lying on his side, freaking out and "digging" and won't get up. This is part of a litter of three, one died previously and was found much in the same position only 5 minutes before he died.

This bunny does not seem to be in pain, but is unable to get up. I can NOT get to a vet for probably another 2 hours. Unless I can find someone to watch my toddler or find a taxi with a child seat.

Is there anything I can do at home?

If I do get to the vet is there any chance there is anything that can be done?

we have about 11 neighborhood cats that come around our place around feeding time-
we are down to 6 i think now.
there is a racoon that has been prowling around and living in the house next door which is vacant-
the dead cats have been found out back completely torn up (i hate to say that-) and the only idea that we have is that darn racoon!
any ideas to help keep the other cats safe?
btw- animal control told us to catch it and bring it in.....why can't they catch it??? no help at all.

This includes all the supplies you may need, food, treats, toys, bedding, etc.
What's the initial price? What's the regular price after that???

also, what about time? How much time do you end up spending on a rabbit each day???

just something i was thinking about earlier, cos there was this dog on my bus today and i was thinking how cute he looked, but im just wondering what do we look like to animals? i think human beings must be kinda strange looking to other animals, ugly even. although obviously to each other we're not. what are peoples thoughts on this?

I sometimes have to go overnight on business but my cat is not a house cat and yet I need to make the house available to her for various reasons. There are all kinds of critters, at least 3 different racoons, at least 1 opossum, other cats, etc. that also use it. How can I make it accessible to her without the other critters?

Not so much as to tell time, but do they understand the concept of passing time? Is 5 minutes 8 hours to them or vise-versa?

I recently caught two adult 2" specimens of this centipede in my basement. I currently have them both housed in a 2.5 gallon tank. After I caught the first one, I put in a daddy longlegs spider to see if the centipede would hunt it. After several tense minutes of watching the small spider struggle to make a vertical climb up the tank, the centipede suddenly reared up, grabbed the spider, and began to feast on its abdomen. Shortly after this feeding, I caught another, slightly larger and more aggressive house centipede. I placed the second animal in the tank with the first, and they seem to be getting along ok, one will chase the other for a second or two before they settle on opposite ends of the tank. I do not know if this species will eat itself, but tomorrow I plan to buy a few crickets to feed them. Will I be able to keep them both together or will one eat the other

The only way I could possibly describe it is like a groany hicupy sound??? Does this mean she is angry??? I really want her to be happy but im starting to wonder if I cant give her the home she needs? Also has anyone in the UK heard of John Watson who is a rabbit breeder? If so any good/bad comments welcome!! Thanks very much!!

My friends and I were thinking about putting up a flyer that tells about puppy mills on the outside window fo a Petland store. We're 13, and we really want to start getting people educated about puppy mills and get them not to buy pets from pet stores. Is it possible to get in trouble with police, law, etc. if I do this?

I have a female rabbit and I've taken her to the vet for this probelm but it is still happening.

The problem is, is that when she poops sometimes in clumps together and sometimes sticks to her butt area and i have to clean it..sometimes it's clumped together in her cage and i clean that up to so it doesn't stick to her. It's mainly pellets or poop but some of it is mushy. When I took her to the vet the vet told me to give her more Timothy hay and feed her only that and pellets. So thats' what I've been doing for almost a month now and nothing has changed. It's got a little better but not fully cured. The vet also did a stool sample and everything else was fine. What should I do? Do some rabbits have these problems? Thanks

When he stretches, you can see the ribs popping out. But sitting, it looks normal I guess. Is this okay? Or is he supposed to be fatter?
