I am a professional pet sitter. I'm just curious as to what other pet sitters charge for services- professional or not. I know that what I charge is pretty standard but sometimes I see amateurs charging a lot less than what the time and services are worth.

If you do pet sitting or dog walking, what are your rates?

When I had my business, I took into consideration how far I had to drive, how many animals there were, and how much work was involved. So rates varied a lot. On average, I charged $7-$10.00 per visit, more as needed.

I just watch pet around our city and this is my rate:

Dogs. 3 visits a day + 1 walking = $10
Cats. 2 visits a day = $6
Other pets that are only 1 visit a day is $5

I only pet sit for people within walking distance so I would have to factor in to the price if I had to go out of my way to get to them.
