good point.we must be scary to them, cant be nice having to look up to us.and if some animals only see red,we will look even stranger, but how is an animal to know what is strange and what is not?how does a human?!o.k this is getting a bit deep.

I think this a very interesting thought/question... and it does make you think a little. I've always wondered what the world looked like through the eyes of an animal. I would think, that by now, dogs and cats (and other domesticated animals) are pretty used to the way we look.
Have you seen that movie about a guy who lives with wolves for a while. He started out as pack leader, had to leave for a few weeks and when he came back he had to submit to the new leader. Obviously they accepted the way he looked.. however, he did act like the wolves.. so that probably had something to do with it.
I'm sure that we look different, and strange (definitely to new-borns and wild animals), but I don't think that they are prejudice against us just because we look different. The guy in the wolf pack was accepted.. and other species must look kind of weird to dogs too. Or, maybe they just think "hey.. it's another living thing.. that makes us the same."
We'll never know.

That's a very good question. It's something a person can think about forever, and never know the answer. Thinking about this question makes me think of something i thought of the other day. You know how when we hear someone talk in a language we don't understand, and it sounds strange to us? Well what do we sound like to people who don't understand our language?

I suppose they must think we are odd, walking on two legs and having funny paws. I often think my dog must think it strange that I like baths, wear cloths and only have hair on my head.
I also think she is jealous that I dont eat dog food.
I do wonder what zoo animals must think when people are watching them. Like - Aaah look at that baby human and god that ones ugly and fat.

I am forever lost in wonderment at the diversity of the animal kingdom, all perfectly adapted to their environment and all beautiful in their way....all, maybe except mankind. Animals must be SO forgiving and understanding to accept us with all our blunders and incomprehension and WE are the ones who are supposed to be gifted with the most intelligence!. God bless them....we could learn a lot from them.

Haha, I love your question! I think it's like this, if we think that the animals look weird, they would probably think the same way? Or thinking that we look weird to them is not in their realm of comprehension.

My dog doesn't mind how I look, but then again, she's blind. Luckily, I don't think dogs are shallow enough to judge by appearance, unlike some humans.

Probably. I bet they think we smell odd too - my cat always used to insist on trying to wash me after I had a bath. I assume she didn't like the soap smell!
