anyone hear of this or give this ohio woman named Maureen McLaughlin aka Cat Lady a cat or dog. She admitted to drowning each one since 1992, and for some reason believed animals could no longer find a good home. I work at the pound that is also investigating her and it is a kill place but the animals are put to sleep like an animal would be at the vet via an injection that makes them fall asleep then die in a short time, he method was cruel she'd crate the animal then allow it to slowly drown in a giant trash can filled with water. She could have given the animals to the pound to be humanely killed for free, worst part is she was killing adoptable friendy animals!

I have two bunnies that I got from the farm two days ago. One is growing really well and getting big and her appitite is great. Where as the other one, she kinda stays curled up in a ball and will jump in our lap and wants us to hold her. Or she stays cuddles up to the other one. She was not eating much and was not pooping really at all. But now shes a little more active and is eatting a bit more but her poop is like long turds ( Sorry to be graphic and wet instead of the little hard ball pellets. Is she sick? I live in Egypt and people do not keep rabbits as pets they eat them so there is no vet for a rabbit to go to. Anyone experience this and might can offer some advice. I'd reall apprecite any help..

ok, me and my friend decided to buy 2 hamsters and share the costs and now they have had babies. We have 2 left and I have found a home for them and they are going to pay for them. But she has also found a home for them and they said she still has to pay for the food and bedding and other supplies. So i'm stuck in the middle as it won't be fair to give them to 1 and not the other! So i suggested they have 1 each. but she's being ignorant about it and says shes coming to get them 2nite so they can go to the home she found for them. I don't want us to fall out over it. HELP!!

My black and tan pup got bit by either a copperhead or a cottonmouth the other morning. The swelling is starting to go down, I was just wondering if there was anything we could do to speed it along?

I've been reading that you should give your rabbit acidophilus pre and post neutering. I would like to know the dosage and how to feed it to my rabbit. This information is missing from anything I read.

I was unable to do any pre-treatment because I adopted him from a shelter. I will be picking him up Wednesday. Any tips would be very much appreciated! I will be contacting my vet today, but I figured while I am at work (and not working :) ) I'd get some some input. Thank you!

Here's is the link where I first read this:

We live in the Midwest, so it's been cold. But even when it's over 32 degrees he's stuck in his 10 x 12 stall! I've voiced my concern several times but continue to get excuses. Does anyone have ideas on how to properly discuss this with a barn owner? We're new to boarding.

I purchased two cans of President's Choice "Extra Meaty Beef Dinner". I know the recall for this brand applies to the pouches but I'm still very concerned. The UPC numbers on the bottom of my can are VERY similar to the affected product's UPC numbers. Also, I have two dogs and one is drinking A LOT more than usual. Despite the fact that the product I bought isn't listed as part of the recall I can't help but think maybe they just haven't realized it yet! I tried calling the 1-866-895-2708..busy, busy, busy! That's all I'm getting! Please give me some feedback on this and if anyone has another number I could call please provide it..I'm so scared right now. These guys are truly my babies and I don't know what I'd do if something happened to them. Also, what are the symptoms of this? Both my dogs seem ok (except for the excessive drinking) but their gums are both kind of pale. I might just take them both to the vet to double check and make sure they are okay. Please help!!!!

Hi everyone that answered all me questions about my crazy bunny. I wanted to let you know he has turned into the sweetest little guy, all the crazy biting, and charging me is over. I can stick my hand in his cage and even clean in there now! He's curious but not trying to gnaw my arm off.

Thanks for all the advice, I'm glad I didn't give up. He's a joy to have:)

I have a Shiba Inu and he has a hard time keeping his weight. (He has a very high metabolism.) He is under weight so I am looking for a healthy food with an abundance of calories. So I wanted to know which food is better between the two? Which has more calories? I haven't been able to find the calories per cup for NB.

Do you think the processor should have to reimburse people for their pets lives and vet bills? Should they be more closely monitored so that an incident like this wont happen again? What are your thoughts?

i work at a pet shop and i get really fond of all the animals that come and go. two weeks ago we got two young pinky mice who's mother had died. we got them feeding on another mothering mouse, but they were often neglected and had to be helped and watched often to make sure they were being fed. they were feeder mice and should not have been worth the trouble but i fell in love with the lil guys. now they are hoppers, both black, and both damaged. one of them, smaller and scruffy, runs continuosly in circles, looking to the left if running to the right and vice versa. he is unable to walk in a strait line, but feeds himself fine, when he manages to get to the food dish. the other one is the most un-active young mouse i have ever seen, he sits and does not move no matter what happens around him, i think he may be deaf and blind. the two of them are very fond of eachother, and are always side by side, attempting to clean eachother and helping eachother out. how can i help them? -17/f/can

Looking back on the 'Menu Foods' recall, It is devastating that at least 10 pets died from this, but it may also be a hidden blessing. We got a brief inside look at the pet food industry.

Have you seen the recall list? This 'concern' makes almost every name brand pet food in the world. It's somewhat disconcerting that so many people including professionals, breeders, and veterinarians are so passionate about defending certain brands of pet food, when it's THE SAME STUFF, made by the same company, with what I would assume are trivial differences!

Not to mention that all pet food is ash-laden scraps broomed off of a floor! I wasn't aware that pets needed so much potassium in their diet. I have a hard time believing that this crap is good for our loved ones who we treat as an irreplacable member of our family.

I still don't recommend table food, of course. I didn't see Pedigree on the list, perhaps that is safe for now. And in the Northeast there's always Bil-Jac!
