Depends where you want to go - there are tons of stray cats in Greece and no vets to neuter them, but if you want to do marine biology then you would need to do a diving course as well as becoming a vet. In which case, use this link: -

You have to go to vet schol first regardless of what animal you want to work on or what you want to do.
When you graduate vet school you can be a general practitioner, which is what your typical vet is. They do surguries but the difficult ones are refered to a veterinary surgeon.
Vet. surgeons are people who after vet school go on to do an internship (usually 1 year) then a residency (usually 3 years), then take a very hard test. If they pass, they are boarded veterinary surgeons and usually work at vet schools or referral practices.
Emergecny medicine is another specialty. However, you could probally find a job at an emergency clinic after an internship or some years as a general practitioner. If one wantefd they can go on to do a 3 year residency and be boarded in emergency medicine.
As far as marine animal medicine, jobs are hard to find. Look at schools such as NC state that have faculty that are known in this area (such as Dr. Lewbart). Getting to work with them may allow you to get your foot in the door. There are programs that occur over the summer such as Aquavet and marvet that are open to vets and vet students that are like minicourses on fish and marine mammal medicine. While in vetschool you could apply for externships at zoos and aquariums. Then after graduation look for internships or other opportunites.
Hope this helps.

i dont quite understand your question, are you asking wat related jobs there are to a vet, as when you train to be a vet you can specialise in a particular field like marine, exotic animals, general adn when qualifed im sure you can go on to do a research based or practical field amongst others. the world is pretty much your oyster
good luck
