I'm a new horse owner and have to have the vet out this month for a check up. I know he'll need his Coggins, teeth, and sheath cleaned. How much would this typically cost. Also, what types of vaccines will the vet do, and are there ones I do myself? My horse is a 14 year old Warmblood gelding. Please add anything else you think is important to know about.

I was thinking of getting a hobby mouse to have in a cage around the house. Only thing is, I'm worried about any diseases they pose to humans, mainly infants.
Do hobby mouse bought from pet stores pose any risks to humans through infectious diseases and such?

Every 9 seconds a homeless dog or cat is euthanized.
The #1 cause of death for healthy pets is homelessness.
"Free" litters take homes away from animals in shelters.
Only 1 "free" puppy/kitten in 10 finds a GOOD home.
EACH & EVERY LITTER HURTS!!!
Spay or neuter your pets than "spay it forward"...
help a friend, neighbor or co-worker do the same.
BE PART OF THE SOLUTION, NOT THE PROBLEM!

Someone on here wanted to know about being their own farrier. It's a BAD IDEA! You wouldn't go to a podiatrist that just bought the necessary tools, then hung out a shingle, would you? Your horse ain't gonna dig the idea, either. Before you try this (stupid) idea, just trim your own toenails too short on both feet, then walk a couple of miles on uneven ground. If you cannot afford a farrier, don't get a horse.

Well, you walk into a porn store and they have fake *******, and some are molded after real women right? What if I molded one after an animal, with real fur around the hole from the animal? Would you buy one, or know someone who would?

My boyfriend and I are getting a doggy. We are conflicted about the dog clothes issue. He thinks it's cute. I think it's a little creepy, and the dogs I see dressed up never look very comfortable.

Does anyone here actually dress thier dog, or know anyone who does? Do the dogs like it or no? And does it matter what breed it is? We are getting a pug, a boston terrier, or an english bulldog.
