I recently got a dwarf hamster, and my friend baths her. I was wondering do you give them a bath? If so what do you wash them with?

Thanks

For a while when I was in 4th and 5th grade I went through an obsession with horses. It's something every girl does, just a phase that's natural to go through. I'm a 12 year old in 7th grade now, and one of my best friends recently bought a 5 acre plot with a barn and 3 horses. Riding those horses made me remember how much fun it is, and how I'd love to become better at it. I understand that I'm a bit young, and the chances that I'll be able to find a job at this age is slim, but I need advice for when I'm older, too.

Coming from someone who knows horses and the business of owning them, do you think there's any way at all that someone would want to give me a chance? If I give someone a call, what do I tell them? What sort of work would they most likely be having me do? Do you think they'd consider hiring me even though I'd only be able to work on the weekends? All answers are appreciated!

My shetland pony is an escape artist, and for the last few days I have been doing some serious changes to the pasture he is kept in. there is now 6 wire, barb-ed wire, and boards all around the pasture and the other horses are fine. I don't want to keep him locked up in the small 10x10 corral which keeps him fine and he cannot escape. just this morning he escaped out of the pasture I just put barb wire in. He just walks right through it, literally, he sticks his head through and lifts his knees up and jumps throught it unscathed. I also don't want to tie him up because my nana has had horses choke themselves to death while being tied up.

Does anyone know a veterniarian or a anybody who knows about Dwarf Hamsters. Please leave an answer. Even, if you do not have a clue about this, your sugestions are always acknowledged!
Thanx

My hamster died a month ago. She was my first hamster. I cleaned out the cage and put it away for future use. I was walking by the pet store yesterday and went in to look at the hamsters. The sales guy told me that I would want to get a new cage for a new hamster. He said the old hamster's scent is on the cage. But, all the hamsters in the pet store were all in one big glass bin with each other's scents. Would it really matter to a new hamster? Would the old scent last that long on the cage? Should I wash the cage again? Was the sales guy just saying that as a marketing scheme to sell more cages?

I've researched that you can keep a hampster in an aquarium with a grate lid. I have a spare 20 gallon kicking around, but am wondering with an aqaurium, how on earth do you set up a wheel for them?

Also, for bedding, can I use newspaper pellets that are used with bunnies, and just add in some soft bedding materials? Or do I have to use pine?

Any hampster experinces positive or negative would be good too.

I have noticed for a while that one of my degu's teeth are overgrown, especially now that I can compare them to my other degu's.

The problem is, there is lots of wood and apple branches for them to chew on, but he doesn't touch them, while the other guy is constantly chewing.

He seems to drool a lot, and it looks very uncomfortable, but he does eat and drink.. I just don't know why he's not chewing. What can I do about this?

Second, they both have bumblefoot from obsessive use of the wheel. It's a mesh wheel but when I noticed the bumblefoot I put duct tape around it to make a solid surface. But the bumblefoot isn't getting better, even though I'm cleaning it and there is no more mesh.

They are constantly on the wheel though and I feel like it would be mean to take it away from them. What should I do?

Are pitbull owners fanatics?
Today on cnn.com yet another story this time a 5 year old getting mauled by a pitbull. And before there are cries of "there are only bad owners, not bad dogs", a within two months ago there was another, more gruesome story of an infant having its toes gnawed off by a >>puppy<< pitbull, and there are people wanting to adopt the puppy (which i think is sick). Did the owner abuse the puppy while in its womb or something? "But pitbulls are loyal, cute, cuddly good family dogs." So are hundreds of other dog breeds, and I never hear them in the news regardless of good or bad owner. In fact, I hear more about pitbulls than Doberman, German Shepherd, and Rottweilers combined. So what is this attraction to pitbulls? status?

My riding insructor says that I should wear Levis 501's when i ride. I have just purchased a new pair of Wranglers for riding though because my Levis are faded and are a bit too small for me now but she says that the levis are better for riding in. Is this true? I thought Wranglers were the real riding jeans.

I have two pygmys ready to give birth soon. They live in a nice shed thats is probably 8x8 that opens up to a good size pen. Can my pgymys stay together and give birth or will the other one try to take the babies or kill them before she has her own???? I know 2 pregnant mares near birth of each other will attempt to steal the other foal if foaled out in the field together. What will pymy's do? I don't have another way to split them up right now. Experts only!!!
