Really, you don't need to bathe them unless they get covered in their waste or something. Otherwise, they take care of staying clean by themselves. If your hamster does get especially stinky or dirty, you can bathe them- it WON'T kill them! You can use either baby shampoo (since it's mild), or a special small pet shampoo (Petsmart carries shampoos, odor neutraalizing sprays, and pet wipes- find them online or in store).
If you do decide to bathe your hamster, rinse it first, than shampoo it, and finally rinse thoroughly to get rid of any suds. Be careful not to get any shampoo in its eyes and to use lukewarm (not hot or cold) water. Make sure your pet is thoroughly dry before putting him back in his cage if you use woodchips as bedding- or he'll get covered in them! ; )
If your hampster absolutely hates it when you try to give it a bath, the cleaning spray or wipes might work for you. Your hammy won't detest them as much since he won't get soaked and there's no running water involved.
I hope this helps!

DO NOT WASH YOUR DWARF HAMSTER IN WATER!!!!! This creature is native to the russian/mongolian desert and bathes in sand. You can buy sand bathes for them in any pet store and they should have it at least once a week.
They like it clean, dry and not too to warm. Be sure to feed him/her fresh fruits or veggies daily and keep in cool enough in the summer, they are prone to heat stroke.
Just imagine how terrorizing ti would be to be forced into water if you were an animal who naturally would never have a reason to be wet.
Remember, even though it is called a dwarf hamster, it is a different species animal then a regular hamster. Like dwarf hamsters are social and regulars are not.

well its not nesscessary unless it is really dirty or smelly. you normally just put powder on it and it just fluffs and thats it. yes it is possible. but i am 100% sure that rodents do not like to be bathed at all. you can still do it, but with around half a cm of warm water in your sink, then put your hamster in the sink and then get its body wet (no water near face) and then turn off the tap then put a little bit of shampoo (ones that dont sting your hamsters eye if the shampoo suddenly gets into its eyes) and then start rubbing, rub for about a good 20 seconds and you should wash it off and then make sure it is sparkly clean and then put it on a towel and make it feel warm. you can either dry it by towel drying it or with your hair dryer, if you use the hair dryer, make sure that it isn't too hot and it doesn't burn your hamsters skin. i would prefer towel drying because the hair dryer's air is a bit too strong for your hamster... it would just blow away your hamster. so yeah, thanks for reading this, its a bit long lol. good luck.

I would bath them unless there is a very good reason to. Hamsters tend to keep themselves very clean. Bath poses unnecessary risks such as drowning, & illness. If you must bathe them use a shampoo that would be ok to use on kittens under 4 weeks of age.

I got this spray from petsmart and all you do is spray it on them and rub it in, then dry your hamster off completely with a wash rag (they have a spray to protect your hamster from fleas too)! Give me your e-mail and I will send you pictures of the spray!

I don't think they need a bath because they can die if water is too cold or too warm

DO NOT WASH HAMSTERS!!! They clean themselves like cats. Please don't wash them, you'll kill them. Before you get a pet, you should research how to take care of it and how to maintain its cage.
