Why is it that all the cat fiends out there who are so militantly opposed to declawing cats have naught to say about the practice of docking a dog's tail? It's just as, if not more, inhumane than declawing. And don't forget that many dogs have their ears clipped so they are erect and pointy.
I'm always saddened by the site of a dog with a docked, especially when they wag it. They WANT to be so excited and their little stump wags all it can, but it just doesn't work. :-(
PS I have a cat AND a dog. They have all their claws and the entirety of their tails.

They both don't like to take the liquid medicine. I tried to put some on their favourite veges, and it works well, but sometimes they just don't feel like having veges. Any other suggestion? I tried to cuddle them and put some into the mouth but didn't work well.. they hate the smell, they struggle!! HELP!!

I have found my dead gerbil with half of his face ripped off. My other gerbil is fine but at one point he looked as if he was gnawing at the dead one? Is it possible they had a fight to the death or that "Parsnip" just died of old age and my other gerbil was feeling peckish? All answers welcome

Wich do you think is a better animal to have a cat or a dog and what do you think makes one better then the other. What is the positive and negative to each animal.

A lady I know has a goat who is a precocous milker, an animal who produces milk without ever giving birth. It's been fine as she's been used as a milk goat, but now the udder is over producing and her vets are being a**holes about the whole thing saying there isn't anything they can do. Any suggestions???

I live in Knox, and almost every pet store around this area doesn't carry sugar glider supplies because the pet stores have to pay to carry a license to carry sugar gliders or their supplies. Can anyone tell me where I can get a bonding pouch? I hate ordering things online!

Ok my cat sleeps on any paper that I am trying to work on. He just gets up there & plops down on it.. Or he sleeps on something like a Bunch of VHS's piled up or a stack of junk. Or if he's left alone he screams until he sees you again. Or gets up on top of things & knocks them down & is a pain in my rump, but I love him. He sits in front of the fridge and waits for papermeat(thin lunchmeat) every time he comes in from outside..Spoiled..Just wondering if anyone else has a precious kitty in their life.

I am moving to a different province in a month and I am wondering on some tips on moving my horse. It will be approximately a 7 hour drive maybe longer. I have never trailered a horse this far before and am wondering if anyone has any tips on making it easier for my horse (gus). Some people have told me to stop every couple of hours and take him out so he can move around a bit... others have told me to drug him! (which I will not do!!) He has trailered before for about 3 hours and was wonderful! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I have a gorgeous cockatiel and he's only in his cage to sleep and while I'm out of the house. If I'm away overnight he gets taken to my Mother's house. He's otherwise free to roam around the house at his leisure. I sometimes feel guilty about having him in a cage, but naturally, he needs the safety and security of a cage to sleep and eat in, but I make sure to give him lots of freedom and variety. Not just with birds, but with any kind of pet, why do some people not put the effort into treating them with the same respect and love that they would their own child. There are so many neglected animals in this world. If you can't look after a pet or can't afford to look after them properly, why get one? I don't get it. Why would you have a bird (or any other pet) in a cage just to look at? They should be part of your family and are a great source of enjoyment. Not just caged or tied up somewhere. What an awful life. Why do you think some people are like this?
