Canned dog/cat food contains elements of raw meat.All raw meat potentially contains parasites that could be passed to ones pet.
Pork has a massively higher contamination than other meats.
Simply,there is enough choice from other animal meat waste to maintain the pet food supply without taking the unnecessary risk to ones pet and indeed human exposure.

because the meat is made mostly of horse flesh and a small amount of fish/chicken or whatever the flavour is supposed to be.
The reason you dont get pork flavour is because all the entrails,lips,tongues etc from pigs get minced into sausages for human consumption so there is nothing left over to flavour cat meat.

Many humans eat dog and cat food--no judgment here on my part--this is just how it is when one is poor. The pet food companies don't want to lose this customer base by saying anything about pork on their cans. Canned pork also creeps people out. It's money, money, money!

basically pork is bad for cats and dogs even a small pork rib will give either of them the trots,,pork goes straight through them i know being an owner of two dogs gsd s no less and two cats,,hope this answers your question good luck.............

Chicken and beef meats are the best. For cats you can add fish. I don't think I have seen fish in any dog food. I've only seen chicken and beef.

You can if you look closely at the tins on the shelf some do have bacon?pork?flavours addedwith other ingrediants

Probably because we eat all of the pork crap in the form of sausages!
No, just a guess but I think pork is probably quite high in salt so no good for cats and dogs.

coz dogs & cats know that pigs r 1 of the most intelligent animals?
they shouldn't eat pork,
pigs r 1 of the most abused of factory-farmed animals & fed the worst diets, jabbed with steroids & other damaging growth-building drugs.
why any1 would wanna eat pig, is beyond me!

more like who tests the cat food when its 'new and improoved' when the animals wont exactly tell you thats its better. they just eat it when theyve been starved.. also why isnt there a mouse flavoured cat food?? =]
