we can all answer the question better if we know what kind of turtle, but as a rule call the vet. they can give the best care and advice when they see him. good luck sorry to hear your pet isn't well.

tell us what kind of turtle it is..... is it the small green with red around ears, that lives in water......or is it a box turtle? i've kept several diff kinds of turtle as pets, but i'd need to know which one u have...... if it's a water turtle, & u have it in one of those small bowls, it may not have enough water, or it may not be getting enough light (but usually this results in the shell getting soft, & they will die from this, they need natural sunlight, so keep it by a window at least part of the day so it can get light)... or you may not be feeding it a proper diet...... this could be the case for either type of turtle.. if it's a water turtle, pet stores sell cans of food made for them....... if it's a box turtle or something else, a bug diet (along with certain types of fruit & veggies) is best........ that's just some general info, since i really don't know what to go on........give some more details & i'll see if i can help u more

They sell special lights for pet turtles. If they don'y get natural light their shell behins to get soft and rot. Go to a petstore and ask them about a light. Also try to find a vet that is familiar with exotic pets.

IF ITS IN THE WINTER THEY ARE HYBERNATING. IF ITS A BOX TURTLE, WHEN YOU FEED HIM, DON'T GIVE HIM ICEBUR LETTUCE OR SPINACH. ANY OTHER LETTICE IS OKAY LIKE MUSTARD, ROMANE. THEY LIKE STRAWBERRYS, PEAS, SHREDDED CARROTS. AND YOU HAVE TO HAVE A HEAT LAMP IN THE CAGE. AND WATER. AND YOU CAN ALWAYS GO BACK TO WHERE YOU BOUGHT THE TURTLE AND ASK ONE OF THE SALES CLERK TO TELL YOU HOW TO TAKE CARE OF IT. GOOD LUCK.

Maybe in future you won't buy an animal without knowing how to look after it.
