They aren't as intelligent as your average human but at least they aren't destroying everything sacred about this country.
They are kind of cute and have been hurt so badly by us with medical experiments and all. They are our closest relitive in the animal kingdom. Wait a minut mabey George has some DNA similar to human beings too. We could test stuff on him and PETA probably wouldn't mind.

I have holland lop and polish rabbits. I know they are not the same sex, but they don't seem to "behave" like rabbits if u know what i mean. They try now and then but it just doesn't happen. What's wrong?

i have a pair of gerbils ( male and female) with pups that are 3 weeks old today. i have picked one that i want to keep ( male). but i think he has a respiratory infection because he clicks , his hair is ruffled all the time unless i fix it for him , and he acts as active as i kid with bad asthma , and he sneases ( sorry for the bad spelling).
But i cant find and oracycline( the medication for it.... again sorry for the bad spelling). i dont know wat to do for him. i handle him
many times a day , i swiched the pine bedding i had to corn cob ,
and i study his behovior constantly. also he seems to be acting a little better now that i swiched to corn cob :3. but i am scared he might die or something!..... wait is respiratory in infections deadly?

someone plz tell me what to do <:(



p.s i named him Sniffles for odvious reasons ;-)

I just bought a guinea pig about 4 months ago and it still acts like it is scared of me, I get her out of her cage often and everytime I try to get her out she acts as if she's scared to death, running, kicking etc. I cannot put her on the floor to let her run freely because she immediately bolts for the bed and hides... so my first question... why is she so timid and how can I tame her? Also she acts as if she is very unhappy at night... she squeaks as if something is wrong, many night I have woke up, gave her fresh food, fresh water, played with her and even cleaned her cage out and this seems to still not please her! Can someone please give me advice on making her happy also... I really like this pet and dont want to get rid of her but I'm running out of options! HELP please!

Does anyone have any experience with Rats as pets with other household pets? My daughter would like to get one but we already have a dog and 2 cats who like to hunt small stuffed animals while the kids are gone. Housing? We have a prior cage that a Guniea Pig was kept in. Keeping cats away? I should mention we also have 2 bunnies. Any info would be a great help.

I have a guninea pig. I changed all of the bedding the other day. Well...over the past day or two, for some reason, it has gotten its cage all wet. It plays around a lot with its water bottle. My problem is this...I had surgery a few days ago. I cannot get out of bed. (I am not supposed to!) I am completely out of bedding. Would it be better for it to have little or no bedding (if I removed the wet) or just leave the bedding in there for a few more days until I can have someone go to the store for me? I tried to remove a lot of the wet bedding, but it is pretty useless. Any thoughts? Thanks!
