i feed mine eagle pack, its a organic, holistic, human grade food that works wonders on dogs.
old roy, dads, 9 lives, iams, eukanuba, science diet, anything from purina, fancy feast, friskies, whisker lickens, pedigree, merrick, along with a ton of other food are crap. some being worse than others. i cringe when i see people buying these products. its horrible for pets in the long run and cant take years off a pets life. everyone knows iams and pedigree cause they advertise, but they dont have a good product. science diet will pay for vets college bills, and vets feel they owe something to the company, thats why they sell it. science diet is pretty much all chemicals. id recommend eagle pack, natural choice, wellness, or if you desperatly want something good innova. after i get my vet tech degree im moving on to a animal nutritionist....

I woke up this morning to feed them and I saw this big bald spot on her head. I looked for signs of flaky or scaly skin or whatever and her skin looks fine (pinkish color). I did notice some very small white pimple like spots near her eyes (both eyes). She acts normal and doesn't seem to know that she has a bald spot on her head. Eats, drinks, plays, etc. No runny nose too. Is she just molting or are there any skin problems causing this? thanks

I rescued this rabbit who is supposed to be a dwarf. I don't know how old he is but he fits in the palm of my hand just about. He's been having diareah today pretty bad. He gets oxbox 15/20 pellets, fresh water, alfafa hay and a handfull of greens daily. I think this is the second time this has happened in the last two weeks. He seems pretty thin too, I can easily feel his ribs. What am I doing wrong? I know he needs to get to the vet asap but can't take him until friday. Anything I can do to hold him over?
Thanks.

Nope, not in a spoken human language, but yes, they do communicate constantly. Whether it's your happy housepet, your barnyard domestic buddy, or livestock that you make your living from.. all animals talk. Even the wildlife you run into by accident is broadcasting a language, hoping you're listening.

Animals expect other animals to 'hear' them, even if all the talk is non-verbal. Sadly, not that many humans know how to 'hear'.. even from a friendly and well known pet, leaving folks baffled about the nature of animal behaviorism.

I like to listen, and have spent 50 years learning to understand different creatures' languages in all their most basic forms. I train horses and dogs professionally, am trained by cats and wildlife, and live with an eccentric batch as pals. I really enjoy helping interprete for humans, & maybe solving a few mysteries about critters along the way.

Ask me any animal or behavior question; if I dont know the answer? I may know where to look!

My friend has a rose hair trantula, it got loose for a while and she found it back with a cut on its belly. Is this part of the molting stage or is it a cut? Will it live?

He now has a bald spot on his back. Paws is a neutered 3 yr old male who eats well, is assertive but not aggressive, & plays. He has a hutch he can hop out of to roam around--he gets the 24 hr run of our large outdoor deck. He lives in temperate weather (Honolulu). The nibbling started a few days ago, but I don't know of anything new or different in our household.

i was watching animal cops and this lady had a dead boxer in her back yard and 3 flea infested rotts with NO food or water in sight... all she got was 6 months probation.. I think she needed 6 months jail with NO FOOD OR WATER personally.

Rainbow is about 4 years old. She has a bald spot on her back that we noticed today. There is no scabs or scars on her. She is eating right, and squeaking like she always does. But she is thin. We notice that she is sitting in the corner of her cage byherself alot more today. She is in the cage with her mother, Cinnamon, and she is about 6, but she is fine and healthy. Do any of you guys know whats wrong?
