Wal Mart, Ace Hardware and Farm & Fleet have traps that do not harm the critters. They just walk through a little see-saw type door and can't go back out the other way. Pain and death free.

You can get humane traps at Home Depot or Lowes and at some local grocery stores. They are between $5 & $10 but you can use them forever. Just put some peanut butter or some kind of food that has a strong smell and then release the little guys into the woods. I had a bad mouse problem and this worked for a while but they are pretty clever and began to avoid it. You may want a couple different kinds to avoid this problem. I hate to say it but the most effective way of getting rid of our mice was bringing home a kitty. I hate to see a critter die but I felt like it was way better than putting down inhumane traps myself and whenever we caught her with one we would release it before being injured too badly. I haven't seen mice in the house ever again.

I bought one at walmart a couple years ago, it was a little plastic see through box with a hinged door and when they go in for the bait the door shuts and traps them in there. Worked for me, I used peanut butter.

get some sticky paper and food.. Just make sure your home.. Once stuck on the paper, take the hamster off with olive oil or basically any cooking oil.. then clean it up.. My wife and kids have some snakes.. when the snakes were small they would get out if someone left the lid off the cage. they would not be seen for a month or sometimes 3 months. the paper worked.. One snake got out in our garage and got stuck on the paper and died. .My kids were very upset..
