i feed mine eagle pack, its a organic, holistic, human grade food that works wonders on dogs.
old roy, dads, 9 lives, iams, eukanuba, science diet, anything from purina, fancy feast, friskies, whisker lickens, pedigree, merrick, along with a ton of other food are crap. some being worse than others. i cringe when i see people buying these products. its horrible for pets in the long run and cant take years off a pets life. everyone knows iams and pedigree cause they advertise, but they dont have a good product. science diet will pay for vets college bills, and vets feel they owe something to the company, thats why they sell it. science diet is pretty much all chemicals. id recommend eagle pack, natural choice, wellness, or if you desperatly want something good innova. after i get my vet tech degree im moving on to a animal nutritionist....

understand why a certain food will help your cat or dog., learn to be label reader, see what a certain food does to an animal and what not. alot of the non premim foods i mentioned have by products in them...meaning beacks, toes, liver juice...just extra fillers thats bad for you dog or cat. especially if they have certain food allergies.

Our dog eats California Natural Herring and Sweet Potato.

Our cat is on Science Diet K/D because of his kidney problems, and it's done wonders at helping his kidney function.

most people say NO to feeding a dog, cat food but I know several people who do feed their dog cat food. And have done so for years with no known ill effects. The only difference I know of is that a cat requires certain added enzymes because they can't produce these on their own. That;s why they eat mice, birds, etc. These animals produce this certain enzyme and that's how the cats get this enzyme. Unless the producers of cat food add it into the food as a supplement. But is it harmful to dogs....I do not know.

actually not everything from purina is crap most vets carry the prescription food from purina and they make a lot of great food it's one of the most verterinarian reccomended food brands for the most part however, i would never feed my dog ol' roy. My boss feeds her cats friskie andd shes a vet ! oh and science diet is not crap and neither is IVD. a lot of dogs have food allergies and can't ahve certain foods and these brands make them. NAtural choice and wellness are good brands but not every dog can eat this ! So you are telling the vet they are wrong? ok because you've went through 8-10 years of school to be wrong?

I can't speak for eagle pack as I've never tried it.

But I did notice a HUGE improvement with our dogs coat when using Eukanuba. A lot shinier because of the fish oils I imaging.

Don't laugh but our Lab must like it. She rarely responds to her name when we call her but as soon as you yell EUKANUBA she comes running in the house.

My cat's eat KitnKaboodle because it is affordable. My dog eats Iams because it helps him not stink. These foods have done wonders for my pets who were sick before. I am glad that you like the kind of animal food that you are feeding your pets, but there really isn't any need to slam everything else because you don't use it.
