They seem to have been acting up, swimming throught the rocks during dinner time. Also, should I take them out of their tank and discipline them? I want to teach them a lesson.

I just got a blue bata fish for my 8th grade class. Can you come up with any creative names...maybe for an "ocean blue" fish??? Can you please come up with names that both guys and girls would like, if you can... My class really likes naming the fish and we need to name it because we have a 7th grade fish as well. So please if you don't have a name don't respond...I like a lot of the names people came up with, but i want more for the kids to vote on...

my friend said that if your house is buring down and you have a fish then you should flush it down the toilet so that it doesn't die in pain and also that it can live in the sewer. but if it was down in the sewer wouldn't it be unhappy? and because the sewer has so much germs in it wouldn't it still die?

The Jell-O snack pack would be fresh out of the microwave which makes it even more irresistible.

I am looking for new ways to harass the neighbor's fish, and I hope that this is a good one, but that it isn't too mean.

I'm just wondering what you think. Is it common to have a balloon molly that is orange with many tiny perfectly placed and sized white stripes across its body and to have little black spots all over the place?

See, my favorite fish is a balloon molly and I have a couple of them. Whenever I go to the pet store and look at balloon mollies, I only see oranges and whites. So I am wondering if this is (on a scale of one to ten as ten being very rare) common or rare or what...? So 1-10...

I recently added 5 neon tetras to my male betta's gallon and a half tank. he seemed okay when the fish were first added but now he is just sitting at the top of the tank while the tetras stay at the bottom. is this normal behavior or should the tetras be removed?

I am doing tank upgrades (moving all my fish to larger tanks) and I will have 2 five gallon tanks that will be empty. I have never had bettas before and I always see people put them in a vase or something else very small. I know they have to be kept from other males, but does it have to be a small space.

I've done the research and have decided to add aquarium salt to my goldfish tank since one of my fish has tail rot (I think) and I want to try & make sure the others don't get it.

I'm going to add 1 teaspoon per 5 gallons of water by mixing the salt in a cup of the water from the tank.

My question is, is it safe to pour the salt water in the tank while the fish are in there? Or should I remove them, wash the tank over, & then do it? Is all of that neccessary?

NOTE: The 3 Neon Tetras have been living beautifully in a 2 gallon tank filled with SPRING WATER for almost a year. I'd like to transfer them into my 30 gallon tank which uses only tap water and Aqua Safe. (I have 15 others in that large tank and they all get along fine; it's home to more Tetras and Platties as well.) Will the Neons be harmed? Will they breathe the same? Will they survive? Or...should I leave them in the Spring Water?
