I just added anemone to my tank yesterday. How do I know if she is dying or will she be alive? She has not eaten yet this morning. Do I need to place food right on her mouth? I saw red thing coming out of her mouth this morning. Was she pooping? Or Was she bleeding? And does she use her mouth to poop and eat? Help Help!!! I'm in chaotic now.

For example Thanksgiving Break is 2 weeks and Christmas is 4.

I tried taking him home last year (which was 4 hrs away) and he died. But he'll probably die if I leave him at school with no food. (probably get lonely too, lol). I have a Beta Fish.

it started with what looked like white scars on a few fish, i thought they had scraped on objects in tank, now they have what looks like ick. fins are ragged and they are not eating and just lay on the bottom.I treated them for ick but several have died. their mouths have turned white and their eyes are white . now there is this white cottony growth covering the bottom of my tank. water is clear and ph levels are in normal range. leaving for vacation in a week. any help will be wonderful thanks very much

Also, what other pets can coexist with goldfish in the pond?

2006-07-18 17:53:54 · 17 answers · asked by Anonymous

I have had my goldfish for almost two years now and he just recently got an infection. I've done a lot of research and found out that he needed an aquarium which I have bought and set up (5 gallon). It has been set up for 3 days now (no fish in it yet) and the top of the water is covered in tiny bubbles. Is this normal? I have been putting antibiotic drops in his fish bowl for 4 days and the red place is almost completely gone, only a tiny speck of red is left. Is it okay to go ahead and transfer him to the new tank now?

Now, I don't know if this is a new development or not. I'm still just trying to assess if my betta is ill or not, but I've only had him for a week. I bought him from PetSmart and I realize that he may not be destined for survival, but he has really dark eyes and a black all along his gills, and underneath where the gils meet. When he plays with th emirror and flares out, the black is even across the gill, but I'm worndering if that's just natural coloration or if I should be concerned about fungus?

According to me domasticating any animal and keeping it in our home bringing from wild is an biggest crime against animals forcing them to live a life which they are not from. Not only a crime against them also a crime against envirnment, creating a inbalance in ecosystem or food chain aviable on the earth.

Why not we built a huge home for them, which naturally gifted to them, Secure all the forest with huge hurdles keeping away from they prime enemy (HUMAN) allowing the animal lover only to watch this wonderfull creation of the earth.

By this, those who love animals will realy show they love towards them. Securing them in their own habitite.
