I'm 53 years old and have had fish all my life. I was lucky enough to grow up in Florida by a large pond that had all sorts of unusual fish in it - many from tanks that people dumped in the pond and which subsequently started breeding. The weirdest fish I ever saw there was a *herd* of walking catfish in the parking lot of a bowling alley after a hard summer rain. This was next to one of the FLA canals.
I own 9 tetras now. No idea what their formal name is but these are the *strawberry* and *blueberry* type tetras that are fairly cheap. One of them came from a batch I bought 7 years ago, and the rest are 5 years old, which I find amazing.
I've also raised angelfish which can get quite large. I raised a pair of them that eventually laid eggs on the plastic plants in the tank. I took the plants and moved them into a smaller tank, added some methelene blue and an airstone to prevent fungus, and got about 50 baby angelfish, of which 20 or so survived my bungling attempts to keep them fed properly.
Fish are fun, and studies have shown that watching them has a measurable calming effect on humans (I think it lowered the blood pressure or something equally measurable).
My grand fish total so far is probably in the hundreds.

i have had two tanks in the last 10 yrs..55 gallon and 9 fish for 7 years. now have a44 gallon corner tank and have 13 fish for the last 13 weeks. so 13 fish in the tank and 6 catfish fillets in the fridge..lol have a great day and i hope you enjoy the fish you have, we certainly do.

I have no idea how many fish I've had in my life but I have 2 right now(a clown fish and a yellow tang)

I have 1 fish now that is my own and my brother has like 10 so I had a ton of fish in my life................

When I was younger I owned all sorts of tetras. I lost count of how many I kept over the years.. but now I just keep 2 bettas.

I, like everyone else, am not sure how many I've had, but currently I have
120 gallon tank- 1 tiger oscar 1 red oscar 1 pictus catfish, 1 common pleco.
55 gallon tank- 1 albino tiger oscar 3 silver dollars.
30 gallon tank- 1 green terror 1 jaguar cichlid 5 giant danios.
10 gallon tank- 1 Blue texas cichlid.

Had many thousand, have around 500 or so now. I breed, raise, & sell angels to support my aquatics habit.
