I would like to find a good breeder to buy from. Close to Baltimore or able to ship for a reasonable price. I'm looking for a full breed yorkie or a full breed longhair chihuahua. If they are a mix that's fine as well, but only mixed with those two dogs. If you know a breeder in your area please notify me.

My dog is limping on one of her hind legs. She is in no pain what-so-ever (she'll let me touch the leg and not even wince), and this limping came out of nowhere. (quite literally) As such, some questions.
1: Could she have pulled a muscle?
2: If yes, how long till her leg is healed?
3: Are muscle spasms semi-normal with lameness caused by a pulled muscle?
Many thanks in advance.

Which brings to mind the question..besides human beings, which animals are also truly self-aware? Please, informed, serious answers only. Thanks everyone.

last night our dog bit my partner's hand and i went to him to see what is going onand suddenly he bit me as well. it was like 1 cm deep . it started bleeding like hell and we had to call ambulance. I am now feeling like my hand is out of order . It hurts alot and i am really scared of him as of now on.
Since we have kids around and we think if he does it to them what would happen then.

We decided to give him away immidiately

i have a dog, he's a small jack russlle terrier, i luv him alot. i wana do every thing that would make him happy, but my family dont like my dog running around the house, so i have to keep him in a cage. when ever he sees me he barks non stop, cuz he wanst to play, but his barking gets my neighbores angry. my family told me that if i cant take care of my dog i should just give him away. what if there rite, what if i dont know how to take care of my dog... but i dont want to give him away, and i dont want to put him in a cage forever.... i really really love my dog but what if i gave him away to some one who would treat my dog really bad... i also feel sad that my dog wouldnt understand why i have to give him away. i live in philippines so some pepople here eat dogs, and i dont want my dog to end up with those kind of people. what should i do??? i want my dog to be in the kind of place where he can walk around the house, play with other dogs and with a person...

My chihuahua (around 3 years old) sleeps a lot...she pretty much sleeps the entire day. I think she sleeps the entire day until I come home around 6. After I come home and take her out on a walk, she eats food and then afterwards dozes off again. She'll wake up here and there but she's mostly dozing. And at night when I'm about to sleep, she sleeps with me fully throughout the night. This is her daily repetition. Is this normal?? Is she okay?

I have a question about dogs with demodex.

I am currently feeding my dogs raw, I buy the meat from a butcher.
I've been feeding them raw for about 3 months now, because I "thought" it was good for dogs with mange, that's what someone told me.
But now someone told me the opposite, the lady who is helping me treat my dog with mange told me that dogs with genetically impaired immune system should not eat it, it's more than a dog with a genetically impaired immune system can typically deal with and you kind of open the door for all kinds of serious problems.

She is not against it, she just don't reccomend raw for dogs with weak immune system.

I would like to know what you guys think. Does anyone here with a dog with mange feed raw?

I am really curious now, I wanna do whats best for my dog, she also suggested me to homecook for her.

Some things that I noticed is that my dachshund looks much healthier with raw, her coat is perfect, more energy. my pits coat is not so great,

It must be such a wonderful doggy life. They get to run around the White House, fly in Air Force One, eat President approved dog food, sleep in doggy beds. Do you think it's like that for them? Maybe?

This is a sequel to my own question last night about my 3-1/2 yr old GSD who is currently experiencing separation anxiety from my wife who he considers his mother and my son who he considers his brother. Any attempt to communicate with him on food comes back with a snarl. But when called to play ball or tug-of-war or for ice-cream, he comes running. I also sometimes doubt that the cooked food he gets to eat is not good to his taste because even when my wife feeds him, he does it with a lot of fuss and not happily.
