Everytime she sees it, she'll tear it up...normal dog thing?

I thought my dog was the only one. The only thing he ever bothers from the trash is a used tissue or paper towel. He loves to be in the bathroom with me when I shower, I think it's just the easy access to paper products. If someon in this thread could explain it I'd be very appreciative. It's not a horrible inconvienence, just odd. No matter how many times I show my displeasure, which has worked for every other behavior, he still wants the paper.

For some dogs yes
Is this newspapers or any paper?

if its newspaper is it a case of it coming through the letter box? then you could think about getting a letter box/cage to stop her getting it.

If it when a papers left on a table or where ever that can be a problem can't it, and may mean making sure its out of reach when read.

With obsessions one way its treated is something i saw on a program where the dog had an obsession with balls, footballs tennis balls it didn't matter what kind, but once this dog had a ball it would let go or any one near it, this dog was waiting to be rehomed so what they did was to take it into a kennel room where they must have had about 30 different balls and set them off all over the place, well the dog didn't know which one to go for but she/he did but after doing this a few times the dog got like a sensory overload and lost its fixation and eventually was happy to play and share any ball.

Maybe you could try something along those lines

Our dogs are the same way. Paper towels, toilet paper, newpaper, magazines, books, etc....You get the idea. We try to keep everyting out of their reach. That is why I don't like the disposable puppy pads. Our dogs would eat them. Oh and we have chihuahuas, not some large breed dog.

VERY normal. My dog does the same thing. Gets the newspaper all over the floor, then my cat tries to hide underneath the sheets of paper. It's fun to watch ...:)

It's quite normal. It may even help you when you get an ipod or camera phone the next time you take a course and try to explain what happened to your homework! You'll never have to worry about "paper trails" unless you run into someone at CSI!

Very normal. My dog is driving me crazy with this. He even pulls paper out of my trash can and rips it up all over my room.

i do not oftentimes like announcing this, yet i imagine an e-collar may be perfect on your dogs. you need to also attempt giving her harder foodstuff it truly is slightly too vast to in advantageous condition thoroughly in her mouth so she'll might want to locate the thanks to chew. you want to make confident you're feeding her sufficient, because if no longer which could be a important reason behind her obsession. attempt observing "it really is Me Or the dogs" if none of this facilitates, and also you need to even write to Victoria Stillwell.

Yes but you are at fault normally. If you let her do it she'll think its alright and someday she'll tear up something important. Just warning you.
