I'm taking my male yorkie pup (he's 8 months old) for his first grooming appointment on Friday. I wanted to know if it would be ok for me to have a bow put on him, in order to keep the hair that grows in between the eyes back, so that he can have that Yorkshire terrier look. Or is it wrong being that he is male?

Lastnight, i discovered thatsomething was wrong with my dog's eye because it kept twitching. I examined her eye, and i think it might be a stringy lint, or something like that. I tried to put a dab of water in her eye, and she seemed fine. This morning her eye was shut completely and so i dabbed some water on her eye so she can easily open it, which she can now, but her eye is still twitching just a tad bit. Are there any eye wash products for dogs, if so can you name them and where to get them? Thanks

Please help- she's a 14 week old lab. We have a two year old lab also that would never think to go in the house, but this one is sooo naughty. My husband says if this doesnt get better immediately we have to get rid of her. She's destroying our house, she poops in her kennel every time and I'm strapped to the house all day long because if I kennel her for even five mins, I'll have a huge mess to clean up!!! I'm Soooo frustrated, I really dont want to get rid of her, she is such a sweetie, but weve tried everything! I have her outside all the time, too and she'll wait till she comes inside to go! FYI, we have her in a very small kennel for now, she only has room to stand up and turn around, so when she goes (at least 4 times a day) I have to give her a bath which is a pain in the butt, and shes naughty and poops in the house, too. I give her treats when she goes outside and praise the heck out of her, but I seriously need to fix this NOW before my husband gets rid of her, and I go crazy

My new neighbors have a 12 year old Chow-mix, who only likes me when owners are present. Otherwise she growls and tries to attack me if I approach. She is tied up near my fence. Problem is they tie her out all day (they are home), with no water, or shelter. I have aske dthem to give her water when tied out, tried to give water myself, but can't get near enough. Sometimes when its pouring , or storming, it takes them awhile to bring her inside. What can I do to get them to properly care for the dog, without calling animal control. They will know it was me, and I need to keep on friendly terms with them. Any suggestions? I can't stand going out in my yard when she is out, because I feel so sorry for the dog.

i dont know where to keep my puppy when i am at work. i have had him in the bedroom and the hall way (i live in an apartment) at first i locked him in the hallway because thats where i needed him to do his business, but then he got better with the toilet training and so i now leave my bedroom door open and let him in the hall and bedroom and keep his bed in my bedroom where he sleeps at night.

now though, i am trying to have him sleep in a separate room to me at night, but dont know where to leave him while i am at work, i dont want to lock him in the hall as i think its too small. and i cant give him access to the rest of the apartment because of mess.

would it be ok to have his bed in my room in the day and continue with giving him the hallway and bedroom during the day, then putting his bed in just the hall at night?

I re-posted this because I forgot to mention that my dog WILL NOT get any other dog pregnant. He is a 100% house dog and is NEVER aloud to run free (I live in a large city). Also I have heard that if you get him fixed it changes their personality? This is my major concern. Will he act less playful etc...?

I got a male boxer because I wanted a wonderful companion. I want a 90lb MALE acting boxer. I fear him being an over weight sissy, for a lack of a better term.

PLEASE people I assure you that he will NOT get any female pregnant if I do not get him fixed, and if he does I will adopt all of the pups or make sure they get a good home. Any info please... he is 12 weeks old... should I get him fixed or not? And why or why not?

I was wondering if anyone else agrees with Dr. Jean Dodds?
She doens't like the idea of pets getting the shots so often.
There is a website explaining her view.

i know how much people want to dress up these little fellas. i am toying between a dressing one up as a bodybuilder (tie a 5lb weight to it and let it drag it around for the day), or a dodgeball player. anyone else got any ideas.
