If we had no roaming dogs there would be much fewer dog attacks and unwanted litters of puppies ending up in the shelters.

Responsible owners keep their animals under control and confinement at all times.

I'm not sure what you are asking. Should animals be allowed to roam? Some already do, such as cats. Or are you talking about suburban wildlife, such as squirrels, rabbits, etc?

Domestic animals should be kept under control at all times, as we have bred the fear of man out of them. That makes contact with people infinitely more likely, and increases the chances that an injury to the person or animal may occur. Dogs that are allowed to roam tend to form packs, and can re-learn some of their feral behaviors. Cats tend to stay away from people when they are feral, so they might be a bit safer.

The danger factor increases for animals as well, due to automobile impact accidents, toxin ingestion, and fights with other animals.

So no, I don't think that they should be allowed to roam.
Hope this was what you meant.

No, it is not good for the pets as they could pick up sicknesses, be attacked by other animals, hit by a vehicle, abused by someone, picked up and sold to labs or trainers of fight dogs, lots of things could happen. In most municipalities it is now against the law to allow an animal to roam and the animal can be taken to a pound and put down. More and more places are cracking down since so many animal attacks have occured lately. Leash and fence laws have gone into effect. I was on a jury for a dog bite case recently, and it was quite expensive for the owner who allowed his dog to roam and it attacked a small child up the street. The dog had to be put down as well - before the case came to trial. Why cause suffering or problems? Both my cat and dog are inside except when on leashes (yes even the cat) and they have no issues with it. We just trained them to be on the leash or inside. Be responsible.

American women all of us is authorized out at night. is that this a extreme question? An officer could give up and ask if we choose help or if each and every thing is okay, which has exceeded off to me until now. in case you're over the age of 17 you may come and flow as you please. the only ones that arent allowed to roam the streets after a definite time are youthful people. Curfews are set and controlled by using each and every community.

I suggest that owners should keep Pets & or Various animals they claim to own on a leash, behind a secured gate, tied up in the back~yard or basement!! , reason being it wo'nt frighten or have a chance to chase anyone ; Unless it's some thief... Yet & still it's the owners responsability to have the pet fairly trained or tamed !! So you might not have many problems concerning them ... ...

yeah sure why not. They should have freedom too.But it depends in which area you want them to roam freely.Like in London the piegons are everywhere and no one even tries to tease them so it really depends on the people living in that area but yes wild animals should not be permitted to roam here n there.

No, all dogs should be kept on a lead. There appears to be a trend at the moment to let your dog lose, but all it shows is a lack of respect for other people in society. I think from that we can gather that the owners of thse dogs have little or no respect for themselves.

No. Too many dogs and cats are killed by cars, other dogs, wild animals. They should be kept under our control at all times, so they can live a long and safe life.
