I have decided to start working more on my responsiblities. I want to get a dog but I don't know which one is easier to take care of. It's down to these three breeds: 1)Beagle 2)Silky Terrier 3)Yorkshire Terrier. I love these dogs. Please no HUGE, TIME CONSUMING ARTICLES. I don't mind a few paragraphs. Please serious answers please. Thanx!

I live in an apartment complex and management sent everyone in the complex a note stating that someone filed a complaint about someones pet. They listed a bunch of thier pet policies (which didn't pertain to us) then the last sentence said that if any tenants pet is found to be an inconvinience to anyone else living in the building, that tenant will be billed $70 extra to thier monthly rents. Then today one of my nice nieghbors informed me that my dog barks ALL DAY LONG and maybe someone complained about him. I really don't want to lock him in our bathroom while I'm at work, but I can't afford an extra $70 a month and possible eviction. Can anyone please give me some good advise?

Have had my (male) Akita since 7 wks. of age, and he was trained to urinate and poop in a particular spot in the yard. Over the past week or two however, he has begun using various other areas of the yard, including spots where there are plants, etc. that I do not want ruined. Aside from this, he is house trained, going to obedience classes and is well socialized. He has generally not caused any problems until now.

My fiance and I know we are soulmates, but she has 2 beagles that are in the house, climb onto the sofas, etc. I by no means hate dogs, but I am grossed out their hair everywhere. The fact that they do not wipe their buts, or wipe their feet when they go outside, and then want to sit in your lap, or on the couch next to you, and lick you. Plus, their odor is offensive to me. Even when I stay away, when my fiance plays w/ them it grosses me out to touch her or have her touch me. The sad thing is she sees these pets as more than animals, as her own children. I moved in and 5 months later, I am actually more repulsed than before. I have not been able to get used to them. Someone please shed some light as we are both miserable about this and do not want to lose each other over this.

I am getting a new dog from the humane society on Sunday and I cant think of a name. The name has to have an "s" sound to go along with the other pets I have. I have a dog named Caide(say-dee), and two cats Sebastian and Saint.

I was thinking Sasha or Splotches (she is predominantly blk with a few small splotches of white). I want something unique and that sounds different. All answers will be appreciated.

We are just driving 75 miles away to "the mountains" and staying in a motel that accepts dogs. We will be out hiking and hanging around the Shenandoah Nat. Park during the days. I was just wondering if anyone has any advice. Thanks!

I have had my dog for two years now and he doesn't like it. WE did have to hose him down once in mild winter because he did his business all over his kennel, but I'd like him to be able to have fun. Any ideas? Thank you

She is black and brown, and she might be part rottweiler. She is a very sweet-natured puppy. What would be a good name for her?

I will be moving to an apartment, I will be leaving my best companion with my parents because my new apartment complex does not accepts German Shepherds. I will feel lonely, so I was thinking on getting another dog either a Weimaraner, Golden Retriver, Yellow Labrador. I know big dogs need space, my apartment is quite large and I go run in the mornings and nights. I will also train my dog, because I like to have well behaved dogs. All I want to know is how are these dogs in personality and what is like to live with them in an apartment setting.

i had my dog for 2 whole yrs ever sence she was born, she had died (or stoped breathing for a few sec) twice i've brought her back to life both times, recently i had to move and my new landlord wouldnt let me keep her so i gave to someone to keep, about a week later my dog showed up at my door scraped brushed and badly battered not to mention she was really skinny, when i asked dude what happened he said that she wouldnt eat and that all she would is wine, it turns out he had fought her, now she dosent want to do anything she dosent want to play anymore she wont even wail her tail what should i do?
