Try doing a pet search on the left hand side of http://www.petfinder.com There are many rotties and rottie puppies that need homes. Also, you don't want it to leave it's mom until the minimum of 6 weeks. 12 is better because they learn bite inhibition from their family. In many states it is illegal to sell a puppy under 6 weeks old.

I personally have 2 female rottweiler puppies, which are about 2 1/2-3 months old. Sadly, I 'm located in El Paso, TX. My females, are hyper little monster (all w/affection). They both have the traditional markings (brown/black), their tails are docked(but the tail is still kinda long). The fun thing about them is that they are sisters, and one of them has 1 brown eye and 1 blue eye. I'll be honest, they are thin for being rotties, but I guess they take after their dad, and the have long legs like their mother.

a true purebred rottweiler pup will not be cheap. what you will find cheaply is a mixed breed that looks like a rottweiler. if you find that, there is no guarantee on temperment or intelligence because it's all a toss up in a mixed breed. if you can't afford the price of the dog, maybe it's not the best time to have one because they are not cheap to feed, take care of or pay for vet costs and necessary vaccinations and medicines.

Look for Rottweiler rescue in your area. Be careful to check the laws in your town, HOA or apartment complex. Some do not let you live there with a rottie.

You do not want to find a cheap rottie. If it is pure bred. you pay for what you get. I have a 3 yo rottie who is half American and half German. He is the biggest sweetheart I have ever known. But I had to pay for him. You have to check both parents out to see their temperaments. Rot ties are generally given a bad name because of improper treatment and breeding. You do NOT want to end up with a backyard/poorly treated/bred rottie because they will have bad genes and could end up hurting you or someone close to you.
Bevery careful with your rottie selection, and good luck!
