The dog has to be vacinated against rabies IN ORDER to get a CA dog license. If your dog has rabies, it will be confiscated and will be destroyed, there would be no need for you to get a dog license.

yes but if your dog is under four monthes you are given till four monthes to turn it in, a rabies cert from vet or clinic is needed to get a lic

yes because the county that you live in will require you to have a certificate and show proof that the shot was done. they do this for the protection of others.
