I have already asked this but im adding some info.
I love my dog very much but he's getting sicker. He has chronic renal failure, and while doesnt need his little IV often, last evening the IV didn't work, and he had a seizure. It was very hot here but he was not outside for long (10 min and he siezed hours later). He's only 4 years old and is a yorkie. This little dog is my baby but I don't want him to be in pain...opinions? This is his second ICU stay.
to explain most peoples comments his quality of life usually is fine. In the last 6 months hes had to get the IV twice. Once at home (takes about 10 min and hes back to normal) and then this time at the hospital. Besides that he eats special food no one would ever be able to tell. He plays all the time, takes walks, cuddles everything.. just occasionally gets sick

The first thing they want is a MAGIC WAND so they don't actually have to DO anything about their animal.
They have absolutely NO concept of dogs as being CARNIVOROUS ANIMALS. NOT born being perfect house pets.

They want to be "cootchie-cooed" along intead of TOLD to get off the keyboard & WORK at TEACHING this animal to behave.

If you were stumbling along in the dark & somebody KNOWS that you're about to step off a cliff, would you rather -
A= Have that person holler," LOOK OUT!! STOP NOW!!"
OR
B= hear a polite little throat clearing,a "Pardon me ma'am,uh...not to interupt your stroll but...uh...there appears to be,if you don't mind my saying so...oooooops....never mind. Sorry...are you OK??"

C= "No,mate. No cliffs around here that I know of.'Course, I'm blind & don't live anywhere NEAR this area & couldn't find my behind w/ a map & both hands"

My Chihuahua puppy had her puppy vaccines last week. Yesterday morning we noticed a lump on her leg, where her vaccines were shot. Whenever we touch it, she doesn't yelp or whine.

Hot, bothered, bored, then why not stick 2 yorkshire terrier dogs in a hot black Ford Mondayo and let them boil to death.
Like the bl**dy fool who did it yesterday in a york car park....

i have a 16 month old GSD who when he was 8 months old, vomited each time on a 40min round trip bus ride to the vets (3 times in 6 weeks). Each time he had an empty stomach, I dont drive so regular trips out with him is impossible, and we have a useless bus service. When I move home how am I going to relocate him safely when the journey is going to be 2 hours??

I got two Maltese puppies (littermates) before I found out two means a lot more than double trouble. All the articles I read about advises against raising two at the same time. It scares the hell out of me. Although I stay home most of the time, I don't have a lot of time for them in the long run. Please share your experience if you have raised two littermates before.

The family dog keeps farting while she is sleeping. She is almost 5 yrs old. This happened recently. This is getting rather annoying and gross to say the least. We fed her twice a day and sometimes she has Charlie Brown treats which is from Trader Joes and Cesar Canine Treats which is dog food from Costco. Is it possible it is the food? If so, is there anything we can do so, she stops farting during the night?

Currently we own an Akita (female), but she's very timid and easily frightened. The previous Akita we owned (male) was very aggressive and was a great, very obedient guard dog. I don't know if this is significant to the male/female difference.

Training is not a problem, as we've owned lots of dogs before and don't have much problem training them.

But as far as obedience and aggressiveness goes, what do you suggest as your preferred breed of guard dog?

My pets name is Rexy and it is 51 days old,it is in my place from past 3days so initially it was biting ,and it was very angry also, when it starts biting everything we use to take it from its mouth and then for few minutes it gets angry and again it is normal when it is angry it starts biting,we soemtimes think may be she is hungry, may be it wants to play, may be it asking us to feed something, but when we give some food it will not bite. i do not want my pet to be food aggressive. And it also have so much of fleas what to do ? my pet gets itiching it what precautions can we take because we cannot take her to bath for atleast 3 months .And besides to all this both me and my husband goes to work, we want to know how does it be when we are not there at home, both go to work in the morning and come back only at the night, so there is not one to take care of it what to do apart form not sending the pet to any training center. As it is a female breed what care should we take when it gets chump
