dog especially if he is called Morris and likes to lick people all over the face so that they smell.

Depends on your lifestyle. Cats are generally more independant than dogs, and are quite happy to be left to do their own thing. Dogs on the other hand require much more attention, they need human company as they are pack animals. If you work full time,a cat maybe a better pet. A dog left on its own all day whilst the owner is working, is going to be a troubled dog, unless of course another member of the family will be "around" during the day.
I prefer dogs, they interact more with family life, and trained correctly, are loving, loyal, and faithful. All this comes at a price! Your time, consideration, cost, (must have vet care!)love and affection.

I have two of each, cats are easier to care for, dogs appreciate you more.
If you have to go away for a weekend, cats can take care of themselves, you have to get a sitter for a dog.
Cats get injured more, dogs eat more.
They both love you about the same yet dogs show it more.
Cats can be content with living indoors. dogs need open spaces.
Cats and dogs that live together seem to bond and will protect each other.
I love them both, neither is really better than the other.
If you get both be sure to get the CAT FIRST ! they will bond faster.

It depends on how much time you have to devote to the animal. If you want a pet that pretty much takes care of itself, get a cat. All you have to do is put out some food and water (and there are even self-feeders that you can just fill once a week or so) and scoop the litter every few days. There are even self-cleaning litter boxes.
But dogs can be more affectionate. You can get a larger dog and he can protect you and your house. But you will have to walk him several times a day and its more expensive for food and stuff.

I have a cure for cats 'a dog' Cats only come home to be fed and they only let you stroke them because they enjoy it!
A dog cries when you leave it alone, would protect you if you were attacked(a cat would run and let you get beaten),
They don't call dogs mans best friend for nothing!
Cat are intelligent and you don't need to spend as much time with them(cause they don't really like humans). But you never get the same love and companionship from a cats as you would from a dog. Cats are easier to keep but dogs stand miles ahead for me!

i imagine it relies upon on your residing difficulty. if you're homestead time-honored and would have sufficient money to board it at the same time as lengthy gone, a canines can be a interest. i respect my canines he's my perfect little buddy. i'm no longer particular what i'd do without him excellent this second. he's countless artwork besides the undeniable fact that and that i will't merely jet off on a weekend vacation. He should be walked time-honored a minimum of 0.5-hour and he's a smaller 20lb canines. Cats are sturdy in case you do not choose or choose a needy animal. They carry out and do their own aspect. they're sturdy in case you've a tendency now to not be homestead too a lot. A feeder and water dish with a resivors alongside with a self cleansing liter field (about $eighty) is quite easily worth the funding so that you are able to bypass away for 2 or 3 days. merely assume a cat who needs interest once you get homestead! :-) in case you at the prompt are not homestead hardly in any respect i assistance a beta fish. as long as they get few each few days they're ok. in case you get a canines or a cat i assistance puppy coverage like VPI. Sounds stupid besides the undeniable fact that it is severe priced at the same time as they fall sick and maximum of them will fall sick of their lives with one aspect or yet another. My pup merely became a million and he has already had phenomena, a UTI, purple eye, a cut back foot and an highly very complicated neutering (he not in any respect 'advanced'). in case you want help bypass down tot he Anti Cruelty Society and spend a at the same time as with the animals. they're brilliant there. you are able to also volunteer...it is in basic terms 5 hours a month once you want no schedules. countless human beings do this to get time-honored to the countless animals first.

That depends on you and what you want.
A dog requires love, affection and attention. They want to run and play. They get all excited everytime you come home. They are trainable and you can go everywhere with them. They are great, loving companions.
A cat can sometimes be affectionate, but it's rare. They want affection once or twice a month at best. They cannot be trained. They don't care if you're not home or when you do come home. You can't really go anywhere with them, most hate travel. They will claw up your furniture unless you get their claws removed. Males will spray your house with urine until you can get them neutered.
The choice is yours. Which suits you/your lifestyle best?

cats definitely. i've owned both and dogs are wicked but cats ARE very affectionate (don't listen to everyone who says they only want you for food) but you have a real relationship with them. Dogs love you unless you're really cruel but when a cat loves you you know he REALLY loves you. My kitties greet me when i come home (even from the cab in the next road) fuss over you when you're sick, and yes the easy factor does come it cos you don't have to walk them etc but then you don't have to go out in all weathers!
Think about what matches you best. Are you a homebody (cat person) or are you energetic (dog person)
