gave him some water, not too much though, its been a few minutes since he has thrown up, gone longer than he has before. thanks for all of ur advice. the reason why there are no vet places is b/c i live in an out of the way rural area. takes at least twenty minutes to get to the grocery store. i would still love all of ur advice and i appreciate the advice i have already received

look in the yellow pages..there's gotta be an on-call doctor, or at least one place to help you. The best you could do is get a doctor on the phone so he could guide you on what to do. I would suggest, just be there for your doggy, give him some water, and rub his little head, so he' knows you are not leaving him alone.
I hope he feels better..please keep us updated with the situation:)

Check your city's phone directory, or the Yellow Pages if you have the current volume available. If there is no 24-hour emergency vet clinic in your area, I would try to rouse a vet you know. A lot of them are on call for patients, especially in the case of an emergency.

Your dog needs medical attention. Be sure to keep it hydrated and as calm as possible until help can be reached. Stay through the night to monitor its condition. If it worsens, contact a human physician--they might be able to help.

Dont feed him at all..If you could get some fluids in him that would be great but I dnt think he'll Dehydrate by Morning...Take him to the vet first thing in the morning...If you happen to have a syringe at home you can pump Pedilydite right under his skin,Hopefully he is a big dog...if his eyes, toungue are dry he's getting dehydrated also if you pinch a fold of skin and it denst pop right back thats nt good..If you have a Themometer his Temp should be between 101 and not over 102 , push his gums and see how long it takes the color to come back if over 3 seconds Not good..The longer the worse it is.....Keep him Calm

You have to call someone - there has to be some emergency service. Could be poisioning. Can you call up the ASPCA to see if they know of a directory. They may have a 24 Hr hotline

You can try some Yogurt in the mean time, but --- I do not know if that could make the situation worse. It all depends on what was ingested if it is posion.

If you think that your pet may have ingested a potentially poisonous substance, make the call that can make all the difference: (888) 426-4435. A $55 consultation fee may be applied to your credit card.

Call the vets' phone numbers; most of them will have an answering machine that will give you an emergency number to call. Do this right away!! Your dog could have eaten something that is causing a blockage in his/her intestine. Or if it's a puppy, it could have parvo, which is a very serious disease that needs to be treated ASAP. Get that pup to a doctor!!

Aren't any emergency vets? Well, wait till they open. Sounds bad. Good luck. Did he eat anything unsupervised? Also, if the vets are closed, usually many of them have a machine giving a number where you can call them for emergencies.

there should be a emergency vet that is open 24/7. most vet's have a # for an emergency clinic on their "we're closed" phone message. try to call a vet or look online/yellow pages

Look in your local yellow pages or on the net for your area, there are always 24 hour vets. They are just as greedy as any other doctor.

Get some fluids down him....pedialyte works wonders...monitor to ensure that there is no blood in the vomit or stools..keep your doggy comfy and call your vet as soon as possible.
