My dog is 3 yo. He was abused by previous owner and left starved. Dog rescue saved him and adopted him. When he is afraid, he bites. He protects his toys or dislikes something, he bites. he did not bite me hard enough to bleed. The rest of my family, he bit to bleed. Everyone scares him. I felt sorry to return him back to rescue and try to show him love and care. Hopefully, he changes his bad habit from previous bad experience with old owner. thanks for all responses.

Cook a boiling chicken with 3 cups of rice and 10 cups of water. Cook until all water is absorbed. When it has cooled enough, pull the bones out the best you can and mix the meat and rice back together and allow it to set until firmed...refrigerated is best, until cold....Feed your new dog ONLY by hand..This will get a bit messy, so on a washable flooring.....Don't allow him to eat anything that isn't hand fed, but do keep water down for him...that mix should last about a week, so its not like you will be cooking all the time.
Anyway, within a very few feedings, he will begin to trust you...Don't make a big fuss about it, but do talk softly while you are feeding him, or hum or make other noise.
After he is comfortable eating from your hand, get the next oldest family member to do it WITH you...then they can do it alone or with..whatever fits your schedule....Keep this up until all family members are able to feed him comfortably.
After the first week of just the chicken and rice, add carrots and any other veggies (except onions and tomatoes) to give a well rounded meal... If you are planning to feed a good quality kibble, add kibble to the mixture as well, until it is more and more kibble.
The whole process will take about 3 days (of feeding twice per day) for each family member.

This dog is the product of human's abuse, and he is suffering every day. You will need the help of a positive based trainer, who specializes in fear aggression. Pls look up the APDT (Assoc. of Pet Dog Trainers) website and find a trainer in your area. Make sure the trainer is Positive, Reward Based, and specializes in Fear Aggression. If you don't get the expert help you will have a real problem on your hands. In the meantime, give him a safe place for him to go to when he wants to get away from people such as a crate (line it with a blanket or towel) or something else that he knows is his safe spot, and don't let people bother him in there. Be very low key with him - speak softly, constantly have a bag of small, yummy treats on you and everytime he looks at you or does what you want him to, praise him and give him a treat. Then start giving other people treats to give him and tell them to speak softly, move slowly, do NOT reach for him, but if he looks at them, moves near them, or is just quiet near them, they should gently toss a treat over to him. This will hopefull start to rehabilitate him to learn that people can be kind.

Bison x poodle? I guess you mean he is very boistrous. You haven't told how old he is. Puppy biting is very common and can be dealt with effectively by being a bit firm.
If he is old, there could be many reasons why he bites. Its just too complicated if he is old. You need to show him to a good behaviourist to understand him better.
Let me know your area, I can help you find some one in your area.
