People always seem to have them impression, but is it really true, or do short-haired dogs shed just as much but with smaller hairs?

I would like to get a mixed breed dog from a shelter, and I wonder if there is any sense in avoiding long-haired dogs due to the shedding, or will it be the same either way?

Does the construction drive my dogs nuts? It drives me nuts because it's SO LOUD and smell really bad. And it's just right in front of my house. Does the noise bother my dogs? What should I do?

First I have a question about crate training. I have closed off an area in my house already for the dog to go potty, eat, play, and sleep. So far my 3 month old pomchi pup has been doing really good with the litter box, in this closed area. My pup can go to the bathroom on his own = D. but if he has access to another room he will go potty there = ( How can I get him to keep going potty in the litter box, without closing him off from other rooms????

Second Question is How can I get my dog to stop jumping on peoples legs, and to stop biting hands?

Thanks!

Some people say that crossing dog breeds is bad and crosses have a higher chance to end up in shelters. This is ridiculous because crossing breeds is actually GOOD for the puppies. It makes healthier dogs because of something called "hybrid vigor". And why would a cross have a higher chance ending up in a shelter? That makes no sense at all. Some people say a mongrel's puppy's adult temperment is "unknown", but that is baloney. The vast majority of all dogs (mongrel or not) have good temperments if raised properly, and it has nothing to do with whether it's a mongrel or not. I don't see anything wrong at all with crossing dog breeds, and it's actually beneficial to the puppies.

Forget about the confirmation shows and stuff, cause that stuff is just nonsense anyways.

My children have been begging for a dog. I never grew up with dogs, and really I am a little scared of them. We just bought a house, and I am willing to give it a try. Only thing, the dog must be calm (not hyper)and easy to train would be nice.

I have a doggy who is 15 years old and just started going completely down-hill today. He can't stand and won't eat. My dad carried him outside to relieve himself and then back in and, when he was back on the ground, I went over to pet him. I noticed his eyes were watery and the fur beneath his eyes was dark. I patted that fur and found that it was damp. Did my puppy shed tears?

She is spayed, so she isn't in heat. What could it be? (Besides stones). We were out at the farm all day today and it was very hot, she was running around a lot and is slightly overweight. Now that we're home we noticed some blood coming from her urinary area. Is it possible that that has something to do with it? We will take her to the vet, but does anyone know what it could be and what we can do to help her until we can get her in to see the vet?

I have a min pin and he keeps getting a bad case of fleas. I keep a flea collar on him, I give him a flea bath every two weeks, I only take him outside to go to the bathroom, and the house is not infested with fleas.
