Does the construction drive my dogs nuts? It drives me nuts because it's SO LOUD and smell really bad. And it's just right in front of my house. Does the noise bother my dogs? What should I do?

Yes of course it bothers them as much as it bothers you! You know what is going on but they don't! They perceive noise, bad smells as a threat and an intrusion.

It would be a good idea to reassure them, make them realise that their own home is not at risk. And when the noise drives you all crazy ... Go for a good drive/walk somewhere quiet so you can all relax for a while.

Hope you won't have to suffer for much longer!

Best wishes

Oh, ABSOLUTLY.

It's a strange, not normal and a threatening sound to them.

They are barking to drive the scarey people and sound away.
They automaticly go into a protection mode.

It's sweet. They just want to keep their family and home safe.

There really isn't much you can do.

Just wait it out and hope it will end soon.

I've always had dogs. They all do that. They're just doing their job. Manning the PERIMETER!

They're so cute. Yeah, you'll probably just have to wait it out.

Good Luck.. I hope the construction ends soon. For YOUR sanity AND theirs! Lol! Been there.
