My pet dog keeps riding my scooter everywhere. He crashes it and poops on the handbars. Once he even loosened the wheels so that when I got on the scooter, the wheels all rolled away and I fell and broke my arm. What should I do?

I know it's a really daft question but my adorable pooch (a very large and playful Irish Setter) turns a whole one year old on Monday and i would like to get her something really nice, either a new toy or a yummy treat.

Don't get me wrong she does have plenty of toys and gets her share of treats but I would like to get her something really special.

Does anyone have any ideas; I live in the UK.

Apparently the owner was with some friends and with his dog who was very devoted to him. At some time the man turned his back to the dog, when suddenly the dog jumped on him and tore off the back of his neck. The man died in the ambulance on its way to the hospital.

Can you offer an explanation for this? Are these dogs so unpredictable?

I have a very lovable, smart and obediant Doby but... I'm a little worried.

I keep him on a 100 foot trolly with a 20 foot cable so that he has plenty of room to play when I am not walking him. Another dog (Black Lab mix.... bigger than my Doby) used to run up to him, just out of his reach and bark and growl like crazy.

One day my Doby broke his cable and attacked the Lab after one such episode. The fight progressed under the house (crawl space) where my hubby followed and finally seperated the two dogs by hitting and pulling my Doby. There was blood everywhere.

My Doby never even tried to bite my hubby and after it was over he was his usual lovable self. But this fight has scared me a little. "Max has always been *my* dog. He has taken up with me the most and obeys me immediately when I give a command. What will happen if I am walking him and this happens again? Will I be able to handle it by myself?

I guess I am asking, Should I be afraid of my Doby now?

My dear little CHihuahua is 3 yrs old and very attatched to me. I have to go overseas and my two daughters are here but when I have left the dog in the past she doesn't eat, shakes a lot ,becomes very fretful and barks and cries more than usual. How can I help her adjust to the fact that I am going away for two weeks!?

For some reason i just find that it is sick and wrong for dogs to mate with each other. I dont mind a dog humping a toy or leg or anything, or even other animals (except wolves, coyotes,....) I dont know why it bothers me but it does. Does anybody have anything they know of to maybe eliminate this problem from my list of problems? Just someone else's view of the subject may give me something to think about. Thank You. And please dont talk down to me for the way i think...i cant help it.

i am looking for an obedience school for my 5 months old pup. i have 4 specific ones narrowed down.
One is affiliated with the canine council, and the course runs for 13 weeks. it's $100 for the course.
Second one apparently has some obedience hotshot guy whose dogs have gone onto do police work and all sorts of tracking jobs. his course goes for 5 weeks and is a bit dearer.

Third one which you pay $50 for a life membership and additional $10 every session you attned. this one is supposedly an international school. this one has a lot of famous handlers (so the brochure says)

Then there is just a really local one where it's $10 a session as well, and is quite close.

should i fork out a bit more, and travel a bit further ? and is 5 weeks course really enough (even if it's held by this hotshot?)

Is it that their clothes are held together with dried dog slobber or because they only wash themselves when their rancid smelling mutt gets it's bi annual bath?

I have had a dog which I took in from the street for about a week now, and she has just started bleeding. Is this normal? Do dogs bleed when they are in season?

It isn't much blood, just a reddish colour on the hair around her privates - I just want to know to make sure it isn't an infection or anything!

I'm having a problem about her. She is already dewormed and from her pedigree and the Vet's findings she was a poure labrador. Anyway when I bought her from the petshop , she was 5 months and very sick from worm. her worms are gone and damage makes her small. Her head was small and she was as big as a 7 month old.

her nutrition was actually proper. But she was still small.

This is my question.

Was there a chance for my ***** to have big labrador offsprings.
