The best way to name your puppy is to pick a name that suits his/her personality....you didn't say whether your pup was a male or female. I had a cat named Spaz - she was very spastic, she'd be fast asleep one second then literally climbing the walls the next. I also had a 20-lb Malti-poo who was convinced he could take on an army of Pit Bulls...his name was Rambo. Take your time, your dog won't mind being called "puppy" for a while, really watch your puppy, what does he/she remind you of and build a name from there. I knew a guy who named his dog "God" because the dumb animal thought he was a cat (he would even do a sad rendition of a purr when you rubbed his back) and my friend thought that was kind of backwards, he spelled dog backwards and that was the dogs name.

My dog's name is Gus, we call him Gussie Boy. I got the name from the movie "The Ref". I think a lot of movies have cool names and I like to name my dogs "people" names. I would suggest paying attention to movie names.

Dootz or Kitty. If he/she is really cute and tiny call it Killer or Spike. If he/she is mean looking call it Fluffy.
