I like Siberian Huskey's, and the other dog that looks just like them, but I wonder what the difference is in their demeanor. I am also considering a Shar-pei, but don't know about their demeanor either. Do you like these dogs or do you recommend something else? And what kind of dog should I avoid getting? Thanks in advance.

I have a german Rottweiller. So I know what they are. I'm just wondering if the english Rottweillers are as loveable and friendly as the german ones.

I have a beagle who likes to chew on everything that is not supposed to be chewed on. He has rawhide in every room of the house. He does not like soft toys. He is take screwdrivers, remotes and anything else he can get. I know you are suppose to limit the rawhide because off stomach stuff. Petco was no help.

I felt bad that my dog was home alone all day while I was working so I got another. They play together a lot, but I find myself playing with him less because of that. Do you think dogs are happier being the only one or do they like having another dog around?

or sitting on the drivers lap?
i have a long haired chihuahua (he's big tho--about the size of a small terrier) and he looooooves car rides. but if he sits in the passenger seat, he can't see out the window, and also he goes flying when i hit the brakes. and when he sits in my lap while i'm driving, he just sits there nicely and looks out the window. but which one is the safest?
i kno that there are booster seat things available for dogs, but he doesn't like those.
any suggestions?

My sister needs a lawyer for veterinarian malpractice in the Tamp - St. Pete area in Florida. She took her dog to the vet and they overdosed him and he's now in a dog hospital with even more problems than he started with and they told her it was because of the medicine the other veterinarin gave the dog, that it was too much and too strong for him. So she's having to pay even more money for this. She's already paid about a thousand dollars. I know that may sound rediculous for a dog but it's a part of their family.

I love dogs, I do. But, I don't have one because my kids are allergic. Is there some dog walking etiquette? My neighbors let their dogs pee on my grass. I live in a sub with sidewalks and they just pee and pee and the owners don't stop them. The problem is, I have 3 small children who walk and play all day in the grass. My 9 month old baby eats it too. (I take it right away, of course!!) Should I say something?? Or am I in the wrong??

I can't get over it! I foster dogs and have been involved with rescue for 16 years. I recently decided to foster a boxer male pup. He came from a cage that was too small and no real human contact or interaction. Just a little food and water thrown out to the pups. When they put his collar on to lead him to my car, he yiped as if He was being killed, over a collar! So that rose the red flag.
After weeks of tender loving care, feeding and some basic training he is so sweet and lovable. He loves and trusts me, he hogs me, and my family. But I have a pampered male boxer that is so jealous and I didn't want to hurt our bond. Although they get along great! Both need 110% attention. So I decided to adopt the other out.
He was recently neutered? But I never had a reaction like this? I know my cat was mad and grouchy for days, but a dog?
He made a very poor impression, growling and just behaving completely unlike him?? What is that about?

well i thought my dog had entered the first stage of labor a few hours ago, she was nesting, walking around in circles, not eating, lying around doing nothing really.
well now its about 5 hours later and nothing? she isnt nesting anymore, she still wont eat, we bought her special food for the last days of pregnancy for easier digestion and smaller meals.

shes not panting or breathing hard, did i make a mistake by thinking she was in the first stage? she is in her 62nd day???

any tips would be greatly appreciated.
uve been petting her rubbing her belly, she should be very comfortable, she follows me everywhere, well until a bout an hour ago now she is just sleeping.

???
