He is a Malt-Shi-Poo and has never done anything like this before. Then last week he did this twice...Any advice as to why?

He is neutered. I did get another dog but it was 2 months ago and he just started doing this. He and my other dog play a lot and it seems like they get along. He's also licking his paws a lot more than usual. Does this mean something?

He's pee-ed off at you. Literally. Dogs get angry at their owners. They can act out like children do. They don't have the same ways to do it, but they can express displeasure by peeing on your brand new carpet, or dumping on your pillow, like my Australian shepherd would do when we'd leave him alone at home for a long time. It could be just that simple with your little shi-poo. They've a lot of personality, but I think some temperament goes with it. Right?

When animals do strange behaviors it usually means a few things; they are angry about something--are you busy and not taking time for the dog?, they are upset with the living situation--a new animal, person, household?, they have a physical problem--any signs of illness?

What has happened in the last month or so that he'd start this?

Male dogs do not mark their territory after being neutered. This could be a behavioral problem. Not to worry, they do break out of it. If you changed something, he may be having a difficult time adjusting.

For the time being, you should keep him out of your room. Wash the pillow thoroughly-use something that will remove any scent. Or throw it out.

Lil dogs with pee anywhere including your bed, clothing and you. When they do that that is because they are marking their territory. If you were to be around another dog, your pet will smell it and don't be surprise if he doesn't pee on you. It is his way of warning other dogs to back off, that is his property. It is totally natural and normal. Also you may want to have your pet spayed.

There could also be another reason why your pet is doing this. It could be due to changes in your life style.

He could be marking his territory. However, if he doesn't generally pee in your house...it could be an infection of some sort. Could be a bacterial infection, or like someone else said, crystals. I would bring a urine sample into your vet and have them check it out. Then you would know he's just marking his territory if they don't find anything.

My cat did that when we first moved she just started peeing everywhere so i took her to the vet and now she has to stay on medicated food. I think its called crystals or something but i dont know if it would count for dogs..

My dog also used to do that when I didn't take him out for a walk; maybe that's the case?
