I love dogs, I do. But, I don't have one because my kids are allergic. Is there some dog walking etiquette? My neighbors let their dogs pee on my grass. I live in a sub with sidewalks and they just pee and pee and the owners don't stop them. The problem is, I have 3 small children who walk and play all day in the grass. My 9 month old baby eats it too. (I take it right away, of course!!) Should I say something?? Or am I in the wrong??

Heck yeah! Say something to them politely, and explain how your kids play in the grass. My neighbor's dogs used to do a #2 on our lawn until my mom chucked it on their porch! They learned their lesson fast! Good luck.

Well it is gross and wrong!!!! But, urine is not as bad a feces. That can spread round hookworms to the kids. I would say something to people that let their dogs do that!!!!!! There are enough ploes and trees on the road side of the sidewalk!!!!!!!!!
If it is really bad, put up a fence just across the front of you lawn.
Something that pee would not go through.
Too bad there is not a underground fence that would shock the dog and owner that pees in the grass!!!!!
It really is poor dog walking etiquette!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe a sign on your lawn!!!!!!

Saying something or putting up a sign doesn't work. You might consider a wooded 3' fence or the white vinyl are nice. It would keep the kids in and the dogs out(as far as the leash will reach). How would you like to live where I am and have a no leash law?

Try and talk to these people and tell them you do not want their dogs doing their business in your yard. You do have small children that play in that area and you do not want them playing in their dogs messes. I would say something, I do not think you are asking this question because you do not like animals and you are looking out for your childrens health.

Yes I believe you should say something....this concerns your children's health. It can be done in a nice way and if the people don't have any consideration then maybe you should check into your legal rights in the matter.I don't know much about the laws so I'm sorry I can't help you there.

I walk my dog, but stray him away from lawns. I let him pee on a tree or pole, but not on someone's property.

You should say something. It doesn't have to be mean, just simply let the dog owner know your children are allergic and to please keep their dog away from your lawn.

You're lucky they're not letting their dogs crap there, too! People are just inconsiderate. Put up a solid fence or keep your kids in the backyard.

ask your neighbors to stop letting their dogs pee on your yard, tell them if you had a dog you wouldn't let it pee on there yard, because its rude.

Umm.. you should talk to your neighbors. It's not right for your kids to suffer from those dogs.

say something right away. If it concerns your childs health, it warrants comment. They should not let their dogs run free.
