Addressing some things, here:

1. They aren't actually "finished". The "tie" (as it is referred to) is when most of the sperm transfer actually takes place.

2. It is not the testicles that swell and "get stuck inside" the b*tch. It is a knot in the penis itself that swells. The testicles stay outside the tie, where they belong.

3. The swelling is not a "barb" -- the person who wrote this is thinking of cats, who have barbs on their penises (whole other dicussion).

Because the transfer of seminal fluid in the dog takes some time, the base of the penis swells in order to prevent the tie from breaking too early, thus ensuring that the semen is completely ejaculated and the b*tch has the best possible chance of getting pregnant by this male.

This is an evolutionary mechanism. As soon as the b*tch "takes" (i.e. gets pregnant), she will go out of season -- otherwise, she will continue to stand for/breed with (potentially) other males until she's pregnant -- the tie helps ensure that particular male will be the one passing on his genetic material.

You're just curious, and that is what this place is here for, don't listen to these guys. Anyways, the nature of a male dog is when his penis is in the other dog, it swells up at the end so the female can't run away, and when the dog is "done" it takes a minute for the swelling to go down.

It's supposed to ensure that the girl dog gets pregnant. The same way as they tell women to raise their legs "afterwards" when they're trying for a baby.

It actually shouldn't happen all the time as it's a relatively rare phenomenon that also happens in humans. It may take a while to subside for dogs (and also humans. Medical journals have reported this as a very rare phenomenon--but you better be careful as the firemen may have to be called to pull you apart).

Why do we look alike? The male dog's testicles swell during ejaculation getting stuck inside the female. We call it getting hung. Once the swelling goes down the male will be released.

If you really want to know....the male has what's called a barb on his penis. Kinda pops out while doing the deed, and stays out until the deed is done......doesn't go down, so can't get it out.
