Live outside loves attention loves to be patted and cuddled isn't very aggressive can be trained easily good with children (good behaved ones!). With the living outside bit we have a medium/small yard but we will have a Kennel for him/her to sleep and relax but he/she will get loads of attention and will be having a daily walk. Also I am in high school and will be looking after the dog mostly. I will be at school in the day but my mum will be at home. And do you think we should get two? Does a Cavalier fit this discription?

She is alergic to something and she scratched her neck raw and its all bloody and full of puss. I called my pharmacist and got some antibotic ointment to put on it. That was helping but i've been watching her constantly so she doesn't scratch it and I went to get my clothes out of the dryer and when i came back she scratched the scab off of it. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow but I don't know how I can keep her from scratching it while I sleep. I dont have a cone to put on her head either. Any serious suggestions would help PLEASE. Shes my baby. I hate seeing her suffer.

M and my mom took my dog to the vet to get him fixed finally, he's almost five. So the vet was really quick, took him like 30 minutes to do the operation, what he did was remove the black thing under his tail, i dunno what its called. We had a HORRIBLE time putting medicine on him when we brought him home, he hated that stuff, he wiggled and squirmed just like a worm on a hook. Anyways, i'm just wondering, is this the way vets are supposed to neuter? Because my dog is still as aggressive as he was before the surgery, and I actually caught him humping our german shepard!

I don't know if Ahava is pregnant or infected? She is acting healthy in every way, besides moodiness sometimes. What are the possible problems? What symptoms should I look for before I go to the vet. Thanks for your answers.

I know I have a puppy thats a bit aggressive and playful at the same time. I dont know if shes aggressive because sometimes she treats me as the dominant "leader" ie: she licks me all the time, she stops whatever she is doing with my "hey" command, and she comes everytime I call her, she doesnt growl or anything when I touch her food, etc.. But sometimes she shows what I think is aggression (but maybe its playfulness i dunno, thats where I need your help) when she runs all over the house and randomly jumps on me, sometimes when we play and I grab her she growl a little, when I try to pet her she has her mouth open as if she'd bite but she just licks mostly and nips sometimes. Its like everytime I try to pet her she starts nipping like im playing with her, she never seems to enjoy it as petting, just play. WHat should I take from all this? Sorry for the detailed description, just sooo confused!

yeaterday my puppy got really sick. i thought it was nothing serious, so i waited until about 730 and called the emergency vet. well i took him in and they said he had parvo. they told me if i had 2,500 dollars they might be able to save him. well i didnt so they told me the only thing to do was to put him down. so i let them. it was the hardest thing ive ever had to do. when i got up this morning i did some research on parvo and discovered a 37 dollar perscription for parvo, and found out that there is a good chance that a healthier puppy could survive without any treatment. well i feel like the vet cheated me out of this information, and led me to kill my puppy. i feel like its my fault because he could have lived. i am a mess.. and i cant quit crying. i dont feel bad when i dont think about him, but when i do i cant control my emotions. its not fair. he was only 2 1/2 months old.... RIP SOLDIER mommy misses you

1000's of dogs we'er killed in Canada, even puppies, whos only crime was they were pit bulls. If it was poodles or some cute dog people woudl not put up with it. People make monster out of dogs.If a dog is human aggerssive they end to be put down. But to kill family pets just becasue they are of a breed is wrong. Do not let this happen anywhere else. Punish the deed not the breed and that means the humans who let it happen to.

we've been thinkin about gettin a puppy. but having trouble deciding, i want a rotti, or a boxer, i want a dog that will be protective of its family but very easily trained. no pit bulls all though i love them to death i hear they are one of the hardest to train. boyfriend wants a doberman pincher? dont know much about them do u? also a german shepard may be good since they are police dogs so they got to be easily trained

He is with me where ever I am. I crate trained him. I appraise him when he does good and I tell him no NOT in a yelling manner. I dont know he'll do good but then he do bad and he tends to do more bad then good and when I take him he'll lay in the urine and all. Now he poops and pee in a bin. NO I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE HIM OUTSIDE ! I used sprays and all and I have to take him a bath constantly. I feed him 3 times a day breakfast, lunch, dinner, & 2 snacks in between but I take him to use bathroom with in 15 to 30 min. from eating food will be pick up after feedings so he wont go charging for the food. He knows where the food & will go there lookin 4 some when theres none, but he cant find the darn bin.

Breeders are now breeding various breeds of dogs with poodles in order to try to make the dogs not shed. Poodles don't shed their hair, and this is the trait they are going after. The problem is genetics does not work that way, and really all you are creating is a mutt, not a breed. I just dont think its right to charge hundreds of dollars for a mixed breed, falsley claiming its a new purbred breed. I think these breeders need to read up on genetics to understand that if one dog doesn't shed, and one dogs does, mixing them won't always produce a dog that doesn't shed.
