heard that no good breeder will do mixed breeds. Why's this? What is the result? (I have been doing my research, just like to hear from you all.)
Also, anyone know of Labradoodle shelters or rescues or other somewhat 'shedless' dogs as roomie has allergies. Thanks!

Hiya. I have a pup and I'm not sure if she's a pitt or a mix breed...if she is a mix I think she's a Boxer/Shepherd or Mastiff mix. But I dont know...
Here's some pics of her at 6 months old.

Recently, my dog has been showing signs of premature aging. It seems that she's been having a bit of joint trouble (which is common for black labs), but I didn't think it would start this early. She's six years old and about seventy pounds.

I've also noticed her eyes seem really red and tired. Do you think she's sick?

We are thinking about getting a Burmese Mountain Dog, do we need a cage for one? They are large, but sweet and docile.

I was walking my beagle around the park the other day, and this middle aged woman, actually stopped me and asked me what kind of dog I have and I said beagle, she looked at me with all seriousness and said "that is one ugly beagle" later on we kept walking and Honey (my dog) barked at another dog, and we kept going and as I was leaving getting in my car the woman came over to and said her bark was terrible, saying she worked at the SPCA and she has never seen or heard a beagle like mine. This really hurt my feelings, I love my dog and want the best for her. I find out that this woman works at my SPCA do I go confront her for my dog and I, because I'm starting a internship there in Febuary. Or do I let it go and just figure she is ignorant and arogant? Below I posted a youtube video of my dog if anyone would like to see.

6mth old dobie x boxer, absolutely fine and listens(pretty much for his age) when he's off the lead but stops dead if you put a lead on him. he will walk if i have treats but other than that or if the treat stop he stops, is he being stubborn or actually scared. i know he is already scared of cars as he flinches everytime one goes past.

I need some actual advice

i have him in a 40 gallon tank for now because i just purchased him two days ago. I have two ghost tubes in there and i have a huge castle that fish can go in and out of, but the BGK never leaves the inside of the castle. I also have some other plants which can serve as hiding places. I understand that he is nocturnal but the people at the pet store said that if i get the ghost tubes that he would hide in those as well. is he being over timid because he is adjusting to his new home or this there anorhter reason for his over-shyness? Any help would be useful.

My small dog has always been somewhat overly aggressive. What to do against this?
Walking him for long hours doesn't do the trick. Neither did socializing as we have to leave the paw ground after a while, especially if there are other males.
He's not fixed and I am not planning on doing it because my dog is a mexican hairless and they can't take the normal anestesia. He is also slightly shaking in his sleep. We've been to the vet though many times and he's fine.
I bought the little guy when he was 10 weeks old from a family in Italy. We drove by there to pick him up and his mother was just the same - Too nervous and constantly tense, even in her sleep. At that point in time I didn't think of anything bad. Now I see he's like her.

Are there solutions you know of?

Did you research the different traits of of the dog groups before getting a new dog? Did you take into account shedding, energy level, size or maintence?

Even tho I started here in April I think....

What a colorful group lol.

I am forever thankful to my troll that harrassed me for months on end...... giving a bad name to all teenagers ...

The perpetual questions every single day about insisting the folks must be poopkins a horse, simply because they were given birth into that family...

The - I simply can't reprimand my horse and those who tell me to are being abusive, so I will live with the stitches and missing nose and 1/2 a face, but by george, I love my horse...

The ever post building topic of horse slaughter which brings out the harrassing trolls....

The thumbs downers that have absolutely no social skills.

The ones that are 'vets' posting the most aweful advice that would make any horse owner with a manual shudder.

Now the bonus points :)

My buddiessssssss...... met some really cool ppl on here with loads of experience.

We got our puppy last week, and we've luckily had 2 weeks off work. We start back next Monday. Our puppy has only been in his crate at night and maybe an hour or so in the afternoon if we're gone. Do you think it would be smart to start simulating our schedule this week so that he's all ready used to the 8 hour stay in his crate by the time we go back to work? One of us will be home in the afternoon for lunch, so we'd let him out during our trial run during that time.

My dogs prefer "wet" or moist treats like cheese, Hebrew National hotdogs, Zukes Mini Naturals, and lamb sticks for training in things like agility, but I'm always on the look out for good dry treats. They like Liver Biscotti and Innova EVO treats. What dry treats do your dogs like?
