I have a thirteen month old pup had her since she was 8weeks we have just bought her half brother from the same breeder he is 8 weeks. would the older dog still remember the scent of "home"?

Yes they can. I have grandpups that come back to visit us here from time to time & they all recognize my voice since that was what they heard from the time their ears opened, even my older grandpups.

I have other grandpups that I haven't seen for many years but as soon as they sniff me, they tackle me because they remember.

However, some dogs completely forget & don't be surprised if she doesn't. It is up to the idividual dog. I'm sure the scent will trigger something in her though whether she chooses to recognize it or just doesn't care.

Good luck, I'm sure they will love each other!!! Be patient if they don't at first though. They will eventually work things out.

No, dogs cannot relate to these things as we humans can. Your dog cannot recognize the scent of his "mother" or "brother"!!

its possible..dogs have very good sense of smell. I dont know if the half brother carries the smell as much though

It's possible- dogs are great at recognizing scents.
