I was walking my beagle around the park the other day, and this middle aged woman, actually stopped me and asked me what kind of dog I have and I said beagle, she looked at me with all seriousness and said "that is one ugly beagle" later on we kept walking and Honey (my dog) barked at another dog, and we kept going and as I was leaving getting in my car the woman came over to and said her bark was terrible, saying she worked at the SPCA and she has never seen or heard a beagle like mine. This really hurt my feelings, I love my dog and want the best for her. I find out that this woman works at my SPCA do I go confront her for my dog and I, because I'm starting a internship there in Febuary. Or do I let it go and just figure she is ignorant and arogant? Below I posted a youtube video of my dog if anyone would like to see.

For Lexi and tiff, I could care less if people look at my youtube account. I put it there because I want people's oppinions on my dog because I love her very much. Maybe next time I won't post a video link or picture and let people be totally clueless, no offence but you sound just as rude as the woman that judged my dog.

Next time that rude woman tells you something is wrong with your dog, tell her you love your dog and think she's beautiful, and she can stick that in her dang juicebox and suck it. I think your dog looks fine, maybe next time she says your dog is one ugly beagle, you should tell her she's one ugly woman.

The issue is that dogs are poor generalizers - it's not that the dog is "sneaky, greedy" etc, but that they have no intrinsic sense of morality or "rightness" and so only think something is "bad" if it has bad consequences. If it has never had bad consequences except with a human in the room, then how on earth are they to know that the rules still apply with the human out of the room? You need to train in such a way that corrections and rewards occur when the dog does not think you are present - i.e. hiding around the corner. Read here https://tr.im/gsrNo
I personally owned a Labrador Retriever (read: chow hound) that could be left 6" from a hot dog in a sit-stay for half an hour and not touch it - the word was "mine" and it meant that you don't touch that, even if I am not in the room, even if whatever, you DO NOT touch that. You could leave a plate of food on the floor for hours and not only would she not touch it, she would also keep the other animals (dogs and cats) from touching it.
In all probability, these dogs studied were just not properly trained/proofed before the experiment. With "proofing" to set them up and catch them in the act to give

awww there is nothing wrong with poor honey! That lady is probly one of those people that has a thing against certain breeds ( I know I have a distaste for chihuahuas ) Honey is a nice example of the breed! And thats what beagles do, they bark. SO tell the lady to shove it! She probly has a dog at home that bites her and thats why she's miserable. Now, THIS is an ugly dog, http://ww1.prweb.com/prfiles/2005/10/05/294252/ugliest.dog.sam.release.jpg
but I bet if you showed it to her she would say it's cute.!! Good luck with Honey!

Your Beagle is cute. I don't understand why... anyway, if she does work there then I would suggest letting it go. She will be higher in the ranks than you probably. Where she is rude she will be able to make it difficult for you. I figure if you like your dog, it shouldn't matter what other people think.

Lisa & Alexa - i won't comprehend your reasoning in any respect. canines may well be working loose yet ANY nicely knowledgeable canines won't run up and innovations-set different canines. i don't understand a coach interior the country that would not artwork to get a canines ignoring different canines whilst out. Socialising isn't in basic terms allowing a loose for all, it quite is approximately being mushy around canines without feeling the could desire to have interplay all the time. How might you like it if I enable my 4 rottweilers try this. it quite is seen undesirable manners to allow your canines to innovations-set others uninvited. So i'm afraid you 2 are the form of those that truly P me off while i'm out, and that i've got confidence the poster has a suitable to walks the place he needs along with his canines onlead without being stricken by different canines in any respect. To the poster. tell the persons to artwork greater good at coaching their canines.

Your dog might / might not be a prime example of the breed, but so what? As long as your dog is strong and healthy, he's fine. The next time someone makes an unsolicited negative comment about your dog, just tell them how rude they are. Meanwhile forget about past comments. They're over.

Sounds like it is time to choose your battles carefully. I would say ignore her. She sounds very arogant and probly a bit of a bully.
As for your cute pup, i like her.
I do hope you don't keep her on a chain all the time.
Happy New Year

I think your dog is an adorable Beagle! :o) I wouldn't let what people say or do bother you - because you love your dog and that's all that matters.

Your dog looks and sounds normal to me.
She seems pretty rude to me considering she came up to you twice just to tell you something is wrong with your dog.
