should we have an eradication team to patrol all cities to track down and destroy all breeds listed in the dangerous dogs act and any mongrels that are seen. i know its extreme but i would rather see a dog dead than a child killed by one of these dogs.

Alright, so I recently got a 55 gallon tank, and I have a few questions.

1.) The tank came with a Whisper 60 filter, and a Whisper 200 watt heater. I've heard kind of iffy things about Whisper stuff. Should I replace these with better brands? If so, what?

2.) I'm planning on making this a planted tank, but I've never done one before. Is cycling different in PTs? How should I go about it? (I'm doing a fishless cycle) Are they harder to maintain than non-planted tanks?

3.) I was planning on stocking the tank with 6 congo tetras, 2 german blue rams, about 15 neon tetras, and 10-12 cory cats. Does this sound do-able? Am I at my bioload limit, or could I add more? I know about the whole "1 inch of fish per gallon" rule, but I also know that some fish have more/less impact on the bioload than others. If I can add more, what else would you suggest I add?

I have a cat who is about 30 days pregnant. As hard as it is to believe, she is an indoor cat, but lets us know when she needs to use the bathroom and relieves herself outside. She runs around the yard and will sometimes go outside the fence, but does not stray far. We want to train the kittens to be housecats, so my question is...how do we make sure the mother has the kittens inside and in a safe place? I know she will nest and prefer to have them in her desired place, but is there any way we can make her a spot that is ready for her and that she feels safe in?

We have a 5 month old puppy... pit, chow and shar pei.. she is good inside the house, but when she is outside she chews on everything from my plants and pots, to plastic under the barkdust. I have sat outiside with her and scolded her when she does this, and still she does it again. She even chewed off one the sprinkler heads. i have given her rawhide bones, and she snubs them. We keep her inside while we are at work in her kennel. But I cannot be outside with her all the time, we have a 3 year old son, who i have to attend to as well. I have tried to pick up everything outside as well, but she still finds things. How do I get this to stop? Will she grow out of it?

I have been wanting a puppy for years, and my husband rescued one for me from the pound last week. It's been a week, and he wants nothing to do with raising it. He's not a fan of it because he says it's too much work. We both work full time, so now I'm doing everything. He was waking up every other night to take the dog out, but now he's not doing that or anything during the day. We have three cats, which he loves because there's not much you have to do for them. What should I do? I'm totally in love with this dog and don't want to return him, but I also don't want him to just be my dog; I want him to be our dog. What should I do?

I have a neutered two year old male Catahoula and two female Australian Shepherds (both spayed). My male catahoula is the dominant of the three and has a tendency to growl if one of them is not in the designated spot in the living room. I took him to a behavior specialist and I follow their tips on using my hand as a mouth and touching his neck to get him to stop. All he does is start growling at me while wagging his tail. I dont get it. If I grab his collar to "snap" him out of his focus on the other dogs, he gets even more aggresive and the hair on the back of his shoulder stands up. Am I doing something wrong? He attacked my older Aussie because she was standing in between him and I. I put him on the ground in a submissive position, let the older Aussie stand above him to show dominance, and now all of this is happening. Please help if you have a Catahoula..

Ok so here's the story I have a 10 month old Siberian Husky/Labrador Mix who I adore more than anything. My dad on the other hand is not so crazy about him. Duke (the puppy) has a chewing problem. When I bring him inside he doesn't chew on anything except his chew bones..Outside though he's a holy terror He chews up lawn furniture, water hoses, plants, fences, wood for our fireplace, basically anything..
Now I understand he's been teething and I give him lots of "chewies" to help and it does..I've tried Bitter Apple, Bitter Yuck , Hot chili pepper, Cajun pepper, You name it I've tried it.

It was recommended that I try a shock training colar which I dittoed immediately.. I don't have the willpower to do that to Dukers.. and my brother would abuse it.. But main thing is we can't keep nice things in the backyard and its pissing my dad off because he really likes having the yards look nice which I understand...so I have got to get Duke to stop chewing........

I just bought a new apartment and had to seperate two sister cats that were together at my condo for about 4 months. Recently, Rascal has been running around for no reason, chasing her tail, and almost sounds if she's crying

I'm a first time cat owner, so I have no clue if she's just sad for losing her sister, or if she's in heat

I have a jack russle who eats and swallows EVERYTHING!!! She eats garbage, plastic rap, seeds, leaves. Then she yaks it up or poohs it out. She hacked up tinsle, and poohed out string, tin foil, and plastic parts. She even raids the garbage can in the bathroom if any guest don't know to keep the door shut. We let her into the living room and kitchen which is doggie proof. When we catch her she runs off and swallows it. we have a crate for her and keep her on a leash and watch her at all times but she will actually sneek it and eat fast. She is almost a year old. Any ideas to get a dog to stop chewing and swallowing things?

one of them have a white/tanish cere. and one of them have a dark pink color but it has tannish areas. the pink one is very young because the stripes go all the way, he cant be more than one year old because the metal ring around his leg says 07. im not sure about the white/tan one because the head doesnt have stripes.
