First of all a Maltese is NOT a terrier. Secondly, it is cruel and inhumane to leave a dog, especially a toy breed, outside at night. She needs to be with you; she also could be killed by another animal. Do you know a hawk could pick a little dog like that up and EAT it. You've really upset me! You can be SO glad I am not your neighbor; because I would be calling the Humane Society on you. Now go get that little dog and put it on the couch with you to watch TV!!!

Maltese are not outside dogs. They should be inside with their owners, especially if it is really cold or hot outside. Most small dogs cant deal with the weather. But maltese and yorkies are to dogs that should not be left outside for long periods of time. Buy your dog a crate and keep her in the crate in the house.

Maltese should not be put outside to sleep at night, for many reasons, They do not have thick skin or fur, they have hair like us Humans, they do not have there own insulation, And a Maltese should never be left out side in the cold weather of 78 degrees or below or in the sun all day they will develop a sun burn. nor in heat of 86 and above with out proper holding, like a dog house or a shaded area and plenty of water, but again Maltese are not breed to live outside, please bring your dog in, buy a crate and have the pup sleep in the crate or even a corner with a pillow, if you can not give the proper attention to your dog, please find a happy home to place him/her in, there are many people in this world that want a lovely Maltese, so take care of it. before you pup goes lost, or you find him/her dead from anxiety, weather, or from fighting, they cant protect themselves from other animals in the wild, or disease

Because it's lonely and unhappy. Dogs are pack animals and it should be a member of your family and given a place inside the house to sleep.

You can solve this all on your own--here's how:
Bring the poor dog inside tonight to sleep in the nice warm house. Then, lock yourself outside all night. I know that by morning, you will have figured it out.........

Because you are not taking care of "its" needs.
"It" is unhappy!
Find a good home for "it" or get some education, regarding dogs and their welfare quickly. Whether you know it or not, your actions are cruel - hence the dog is crying

Why on earth do you leave a Maltese outside in the Winter?? Do you live on a Tropical Island? If not, please bring your dog inside!
If this is how you treat your dog, please find a more suitable home for him/her!
