I have a VERY large hairy dog, who loves to swim. The problem is his hair never really has a chance to fully dry so he gets a bit of a mildew type smell to him, this is all over his body. His skin is fine, no signs of any type of skin infections etc. It's just the moisture from swimming every day. Any ideas on how to reduce moisture next to a dog's skin, other than blow drying him daily?

My puffer is just over an inch long. And all of a sudden he stopped eating his blood worms. He usually goes crazy. Now he will only eat one or two. I dont know if his teeth are bothering him? I have only had him for 2 weeks. And he seems quite small to already have overgrown teeth but then i dont know how fast they grow..

We just had our 2yr.old cat spayed two days ago. We took her to a Valley Cat rescue. Anyways when we went to pick her up the receptionist told us she had an infection and needed antibotics and they were going charge us extra but we didn't have the extra 15 dollars except for antibotics..She didn't mention what kind of infection, and we didn't think to ask since we were occupied we her. Anyways my husband said to call and ask the place cause it didn't make sense she had an infection right after surgery. So we called and she told us she had an infection in her Uterus from being in heat alot b4 being spayed. My question is, Is there such a thing? What causes it? A friend told us that placed like that try to get your money and might try cheat ya outta money and tell ya she has infection. So that just gets us thinking... Just wondering if anyone out there can help us out and tell us if you heard such a thing.I'm just curious..Thankx!!!

ok i have a almost 3 month old yellow sided conure. she asks very babyish and cuddles with me. this is my first conure, but not my first bird. sometimes her poop is redish brown and somtimes it is green? is that ok? my mom says it is natural because of the color of her food.(which is a mix of colored pellets, sunflower seed, and millet...also my mom doesn't know much about animals I research them non- stop though.) she also has fruit and yogurt. I read that if she has red or brown poop she may have poisoning or liver diesease.(sorry for the spelling) Can you tell me if this is really natural? I have had her for only 3 weeks and have bonded with her so of course i don't want her to die (plus she was 400 dollars so a waste of money for a dead bird that would be.)

I know many people recommend adoption, which is great to give a home to a homeless dog.

However why would I want to bring a dog to my family and between my kids and I do not have any background or genetic information on them or their temperature?

We have a koi pond with about 6 goldfish in it. This summer, it appears they had babies and the babies are black. I'm confused as to how gold-color fish could produce black-color babies?

My friend lives with his girlfriend and they have a dog. Actually, it is her dog. My friend has brought up on several occasions, at least five or six times, how he has beaten the dog severly. He said he beat it in the head so badly that the whites of it's eyes turned red. He is constantly talking about how much he hates the dog. He said one time he beat it so bad that it started vomitting and convulsing. I've been to his house more than a few times, and the dog is always in a crate(pen) and I'm not sure if they even play with it or take it for walks. It makes me sick to hear how he beats the dog and I want to tell him if you don't like the dog, give it up but I know he'll say it's his girlfriend's dog not his and that she doesn't want to give it up. I don't want him to know that I ratted him out. But there are reasons there are laws against animal cruelty. Should I report him? I feel so bad for that dog, and it eats me up inside whenever I think about it.

He is so sweet and got a lovely temprament! It's just that after stroking him once he's started purring, he then likes to get stuck in to his butt, which can be annoying if your trying to sleep.
Have tried Marmite and English Mustard, but he liked them! Please can anyone help!

The fish are pearly white and one has bright(but lightcolored) blue eyes(the color of the sky) with a very shiny opaline head(so does the baby)the other one has very bright red eyes. They have long pale(almost clear) colored tails. what kind are they and how do i tell them male from female? if you think you know what kind of fish i am talking about please tell me. Also please provide a link with a picture of the kind of fish. Also they are freshwater fish(they live in a pond in the back)Thanks.

For dog owners that have, or have had, a dog with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) damage: What kind of treatment did you use? Did you opt for surgery, and which type of surgery? How long did the leg take to heal fully, and did your dog return to normal (no arthritis)? My great dane has a vet appointment on Tuesday for what obviously appears to be a stretched or torn ACL. I would just like some advice...

We have a male and female collie. The female was in heat 7 weeks ago and they mated. The past two weeks the male has been aggresively trying to mate with the female even though she has been out of heat for 7 weeks. Could this unexplained aggression mean that she is pregnant? He has never been like this around her before except when she is in heat. She has been getting chubby, but thought she was just eating more. Then I noticed her nipple felt larger when rubbing her belly.

To try to grab the first space so they have a better shot at Best Answer? It seems a shallow and competitive thing to do. FYI - I will give you a thumbs down every time when I see it.
