This is a vet matter, if you leave it the kitten will get parasites, and possibly an infection. Please take him in now, he is depending on you for care.

If you don't want to take the kitten to a vet, and you can see the larva.....disinfect some tweezers, gently pull the larva out, and then clean the opening very well.....by putting some peroxide in it to wash it out real good, then blot it dry. Put some Neosporin into the hole, and every day do it again, til the wound heals. It should be fine! This also works for abcesses. Another thing to have on hand, if you're raising animals of any kind, is....Nolvasan. It comes in a tube, or a jar, and is really GREAT for things like this. Good luck.....

its not that bad. take the larvae out if you can. if you cant then take it to the vet and they will get rid of it. it doesnt sound like a horese fly more like a bot fly which actually lays its larvae under the skin of the hosts until it grows under the skin eating then it will eat its way out and fly away. this can be very painful and disgusting. but nothing terrible will happen other than possibly a scar.

Wipe the larva out with clean cotton balls and wash area off with hydrogen peroxide. This should hold you over until you get to the vets if need be.
