we had two hatchlings in the same tank, and the big one went and chomped the little one's tail. there's almost an inch that looks ready to drop off. will his tail continue to grow, or is it going to be stubby from now on??
my guy is somewhere between 3-5 weeks old.
we have seperated them now, sticking them into a 90 gallon tank, and putting a mesh screen in the middle. they can still see each other, but they can't get to each other. i really want to seperate them compleatly, but my boyfriend says he doesnt want to seperate them, cause they will forget each other. i told him that's the POINT, cause the dominance chain's gotta be broken, so the small one can catch up on size, but my boyfriend is being a jerk about it.
will the little guy's tail be ok?? i know that beardies don't regrow their tails, but it would be horrible if his tail's stumped off at such an early age.
and yes, we DO feed them enough. we feed them each about 15 - 20 crickets per feeding, three times a day.

My husband and I just got a cat and we are keeping her in our room for a few days while she gets used to everything but the problem is she wakes us up all night (I know cats are nocturnal and this is natural) but we really need sleep and she's crawling all over us while we are trying to sleep

she has the best temperament i could wish for. i wanted to have a litter from her and to keep a boy but due to some health problem`s she`s had, i feel it would be unfair to have a litter if theres a chance of passing on problems to her pups. my dilema is does getting her neutured change personality, temporament or behaviour and are there any health implications against getting this done. if there is i`ll just have to put up with the mess for 2 weeks every 6 months. thank you

I have two maltese dogs, and the mother (we've had her since she was a pup), has always licked her paws and strategically wiped the tear stains off her eyes. She's never had tear stains growing up. Then we had her get pregnant and we kept one of the puppies and she instinctively never cleaned her eyes, but being the copy-cat that she is, she learned from her mother and started to do the same thing...
Is this common or rare?

I felt like I wanted the new puppy to eventually have puppies (she's like 5 now), but my parents disagreed because they didn't want her "personality to change" and we've now had her spayed. :(

So my church threw a bible camp for the kids that go to our church and along the way at some point, They needed a home for 4 fresh water fish. My brother volunteered me into it while I was away at work. I came home to find them in my tank of six guppies. They tend to fight a little bit with eachother over food but they other wise leave eachother alone. They dont even bother my guppies. I have no idea what they are though. I went to the church and the lady that donated the fish was "unknown". These fish are grey with orange fins and orange stripes going down them. Please help...

I have a small video of the fish but it is particularily blurry...maybe you can make out what type of fish it is though :\

It's not like the litter box is dirty... because it's NOT. It never is. She has even made bowl movements on the carpet in the living room when the box is CLEAN and fresh. I'm sick of her. We got her along with her brother when they were 10 weeks old. She is now a year old... and I just hate her now. Her brother has never done anything like this, plus, my brother is sending for him back in Florida. My mother and I can't stand the girl and I'm afraid that she might get pissed off at me one day and pee all over my bed. Where do I take her? I can't even look at her anymore. She peed ALL OVER the bed (a queen) and on top of the pillows. Even pooped somewhere and tried to cover it up. For the past four days, my brother's room has been smelling and we couldn't figure out why. After my mom removed the sheets, she found out why...

Me and our family live in a rural neighborhood with alot of land and a stream nearby. Our cats get in and out of our house as they please via a crawlspace in the basement. They go up our basement stairs to get to our main house, where their food and water is.

We went on a trip to VA five days ago, and came back to find the basement door shut, to our horror. This means they had access to litter, but not their food or water. We called them and tried tons of searching in the immediate area outside, but they're not responding.

We are very concerned with our cats, we don't know what we'd do if they left us. My questions are:

-Do our cats think we abandoned them, and are they gone for good if they think so?

-With our natural abundance of mice and insects along with a freshwater stream nearby, would they be able to survive this long?

-What can we do to try to get them back?

Thanks a million, from all of us.

DETAILS: Okay, so I have 2 goldfish in a 30 gallon with an airstone. I put in a Pleco for cleaning purposes. I cycled the tank for 2 days before putting the goldfish and pleco, and used a water conditioner, dechlorinate, and bacteria started. I cleaned out 20 % of water after a week.

PROBLEM: So, I know that the goldfish excrete high amounts of ammonia. I am concerned because I noticed the pleco sucker fish swims rapidly to the top of the surface seemingly for a gulp of air then swims back down. I am afraid he doesn't have enough oxygen. Could this be the case? If so, how do I correct it? Should the Pleco not be in with the goldfish at all? Help!! thanks ;)

Any ideas why my cat would pee only on linoleum floors and only during the night? She uses her box normally during the day. Tried: antibiotics for possible UTI, litter with attractant, prescription food for urinary issues, Nature's miracle and white vinegar/water solution to clean urine spots, placing food dishes and aluminum foil in areas where she pees, 3 litter boxes, and positive reinforcement with treats when she does use the box.

I think she might have an anxiety issue. Anyone have any tips on how to resolve it? I'm not getting rid of her so I'd really like to fix this fast! Thanks!
