No you can not use human tooth paste on dogs, it can make them really sick or worse, Same goes for mouthwash. Better get some doggy tooth paste and some doggy breath mints.

NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Never use human toothpaste on either dogs or cats. The ingredients that are in human toothpaste, even baby toothpaste, are highly poisonous to dogs and cats.
What's worse is that the animals will swallow it —they don't know how to spit it out. If you have used it and think nothing happened, it doesn't mean it's not poisonous. Some animals react right away to it; others build up a toxic level until you find out they are very sick or dying.
There are toothpastes and brushes just for dogs or just for cats in most pet stores. Wait until you get that, and your pet will have clean teeth and good health. There are also pet treats they can chew on that clean there breath and/or remove plaque. Get some of those, too, if you can.

NO! People toothpaste isn't made for swallowing (it'll even make us sick). Dog toothpaste can be swallowed and not cause an upset stomach, and it cleans their teeth just fine.
There's some mint oil drops for dogs to sweaten the breath, and some dental food (larger pieces, the dog has to chew into them which helps the teeth), or those hard chew toys that encourage tooth cleaning as the dog gnaws on it, along with charcoal based treats that help the breath---lots of other things to try to help your dog's mouth smell better.
You can give the vet a call and ask for suggestions, they'll know what works best for small, medium and large dogs.

No, you cannot. They make a special toothpaste for dogs/cats. You can find it in most pet stores. They also have brushes and finger scrubbers to clean the dogs teeth. There are also treats you can try. Greenies chews usually help with teeth, but you want to make sure you get the right size or your dog could be injured.

Always use a specially formulated dog toothpaste. Because dogs
can't rinse and spit after a brushing, the dog toothpaste must be safe for
pets to swallow! Some human toothpastes contain detergents
which can irritate pets' stomachs, and, in addition, large quantities
of ingested fluoride can harm pets.

No ! Human toothpaste is toxic to dogs and the fluoride can kill them.
It is important to brush his teeth, and you can get doggie toothpaste from PetsMArt or from your vet. Brush his teeth for about 5 days, and his breath will smell much better. If his teeth are yellowing and his gums are inflamed, you might want to ask your vet to clean the teeth.

If you do, make sure it is the kind for little kids that is safe to swallow. if you go to Petco, you can just buy a brand of toothpaste made for dogs that will keep their teeth healthy and their breath smelling better. you can also get some from your vet.

It is not a good idea to use human toothpaste since it contains ingredients that may be harmful....don't use human mouthwash either! The pet store has doggie toothpaste and mouthwash that will help cut down on offensive breath issues.

I wouldn't. They have toothpaste made for dogs. Use that. Would you use dog toothpaste on yourself? Or wash your hair with dog shampoo? Just get them thier own. Probably cost the same amount of money.

Don't use human toothpaste on your dog or any animal!
Unlike people, they don't know not to swallow it, and it's toxic.
The milk enzymes in most "baby toothpaste" could also potentially cause problems.
There are plenty of places that make canine toothpaste, I've found that these people are great:
