I just took in a stray cat. I dont know if it is a male or female. but what would be a cute name that could be for both a male and a female cat? cause I live on a military base and I have to go up to the housing office and fill out a pet form. and I know i am going to have to come up with a name for it. Please help me as I have no idea.

Which kind of cat is better? A tabi(sp?) or a white cat? Which one is calmer and does't shed as much hair? Someone please tell me all you know!!!!

I guess they are from the gravel, they appeared 1 or 2 at first and I removed them, now there are hundreds of them and I don't know how to remove them without having to get rid of the gravel and recycle the tank again. It houses my 4 African Dwarf Frogs and 1 Pearl Gourami, she is still very small.

I have two 55 gallon tanks but the inhabitants in these tanks will no doubt kill and possibly eat the frogs and pearl.

I have considered removing them to a 3 gallon bucket with air stone and heat, then over salting or chlorine bleaching the tank.

Anyone know of a simpler and/or safer way?

I was wondering if guppies could survive on eating a vast variety of homefood. Such as bread, shrimp, crab, egg, or w/e is appropriate (These foods I'm not sure about, just guessing XD). If they can, could anyone tell me what kinds of food they would be able to eat? Thanks everyone.

My glass catfish is kept in 3s and they seem to be okie and all. But lately, they've turned transparent blue. Not the whole fish, just the part near their heads.

I have 2 10 gal fish tanks I'm thinking about selling. They are on a 2-tier metal stand, and have all the accessories needed. They are still up w/fish right now. Have rocks, plants and everything. I dont know how much should I sale them for? Any serious, informed suggestions please.

I used to live in an apartment and now I have recently moved into a older home. My dog (1 year 3 month old Golden Retriever) used to love his cage. When I get ready to leave he would just walk in there when I told him to and just lay down. Now, his cage is in the basement of the home and he HATES it. I have to practically drag him down there and force him into his cage when I am getting ready to leave. He will try and run from me, get low to the ground, and brace himself to try and not be put into his cage. Also, now every time I put in in there, he will pee. What can I do to get him acquainted to his cage being down there? I don't want him to be unhappy! PLEASE HELP!!!

i have a pitbull,and hes 3 months old.it started last night as far as i know,but i could be worried over nothing.all last night my dog didnt eat anything or drink anything,all he did was sleep.thats really weird for him because most of the time hes up and playing,or at least eats something and then goes to sleep.i know he should have been up because he slept all day.this morning when i took him outside to use the bathroom,he well took a crap,and its really got me worried.it was all liquid and it looked like it had blood and something else in it.i have no idea what.i was wondering if anybody knows what this means.any thing at all helps.

Ive never had a cat before, but i adopted my male 7 month old tom cat ( Telouze we have named him) from my neighbor who is moving. At first i didnt let him out cos i was scared of him geting lost and confused..new house etc...but the more i have him i dont want to let him out..i dont want to risk losing him, him being knocked down ( there is a main road bottom of my street)..i dont want him victim to all the dangers outside...
ive read up on the internet, and im booking him in for neuturing and microchipping and his jabs.We play with him and my kids play with him so i dont think he is bored. I would rather keep him safe , what is everyones opinions on this, and do any of you have indoor cats?

before my cats were nuetured they were really skinny only about 16-19 pounds but after they were nuetured they went from that to 22-25 pounds. what should i do? i cant but diet cat food cause i cant afford it and when my friend gave me some they ate it all and still weighed the same

the tank and water is fine ive checked all the levels and the amonia and nitrite are fine i didnt see the barb die but the guoarmi ive been watching for a couple of hours and he was behaveing wierd just sort of floating around not swimming then re ajusting himself and then just floating off again then after a couple of hours he died and he was really swollen in his gut , the barb was aswell , they were both fine yesterday and had no problems what happened to them?

Hi, I have been treating my 14 week old pup with Advocate from the vets, which you put on back of his neck. Vet says it treats fleas and worms in one. He still drags his bottom on the floor though, could it still be worms or something else?

my pug is 5 months old and for he past 2 weeks he is been going to d ohis business in his cage. i have to wash everything in the morning and that is something and that even if i punish him he keeps on doing.now. from your experience is there an effective traning method that i can learn to use on him. i really dont have the money to go to the traninig sessions becaus they are really expensive where i live so .....can you help me?!!!! thanks

I need to shave the hair off of my parent’s dog. Her hair has become severely matted and no one ever brushes her. The vet suggested that we shave her to take care of it. She is a mixed breed; chow/shepherd mix. I used a pair of human clippers on her and it took almost an hour to clip a 6 sq inch section. Her undercoat is very thick and she is getting mats. I am experienced in clipping dogs, but I’ve never seen fur that is so thick it causes clippers to over heat! What are some good HEAVY DUTY clippers to use that will cost less than the $100 I've been quoted for grooming?

hi, i am a little worried about my beardie not being warm enough, i have a 4f x2ftx2ft vivarium. i have a uvb bulb thats reaches from end to end and a normal 60watt household bulb on one side. the trouble is im not sure it is warm enough, my thermometer has broken and ive just ordered two new ones ( one at each end) ive heard you can get 100watt bulbs, do you reckon that is better? its just i dont see her basking alot,
