you can but remember it will only kill the fleas on her. And only on occasion as any thng other that for kittens/cats might take to much of the essential oils out of the hair.
If the cat is inside you should bomb the house, bath the cat and then get somthing from the vet like frontline plus or bathing isn't really going to help just remove until teh cat is dry and they will be right back

If you are going to wash an animal with a detergent for fleas, you need to use a detergent with a citrus base in order to kill the fleas. Also, be sure to use some conditioner for her skin so it doesn't dry out.
Some people hollar and scream that washing your dog with detergent is wrong but it takes care of the problem and does not harm the animal. In fact, this is the only way you can wash a nursing female dog to rid fleas!

You could but this probably wont stop your problem... You need to get some Flea and tick shampoo to wash your dog in. I would than suggest getting Frontline or a similar product that can be applied to the skin and kill ticks and fleas on contact.

You should wash your dog with a formulated shampoo made especially for dogs who have fleas. If you use Dawn it won't eliminate the fleas as that's not a shampoo for a dog and can harm your dogs skin if it's sensitive.

Go to your pet's supermarket and look in the grooming aisle and you'll find a nice selection of dog shampoos made just for them to eliminate fleas, ticks, and other pesky buggers.

Dawn will not really kill the fleas, just help to drown them. It may also overly dry your Pom's skin, because it will dissolve the oils.

I strongly recommend that you go to the vet and get some shampoo for the dog. It will be safer in the long run. You may want to treat bedding and outside areas to kill the eggs, if needed.

Take her to the groomer for a flea bath they will use something that is more safe and suitable for a dog and would cut down the chances of her getting a reaction to using any home remidies

Take her to the groomers for a flea bath or you can buy special shampoo from the local pet store for fleas and do it yourself.

It might help to get the fleas off of her but after giving her a bath I would get some advantage or frontline plus and medicate her to keep them off. Also clean your house to kill the eggs in there.

NO do not use a dish soap. I use baby shampoo. And I have had dogs for over 50 years. This works great and does not irritate the skin.

That is what I use but do the legs first and wait to see if your dog is allergic... or if you already know try a milder detergent
